A seal assembly includes a carrier element, and at least one seal element disposed on the carrier element, the seal element including a seal section configured to abut against a shaft. The seal section includes first and second axially spaced, radially inwardly projecting annular ridges configured to sealingly abut against the shaft at least when the shaft is not rotating relative to the seal element, and first and second sets of circumferentially spaced, radially inwardly projecting pumping elements disposed axially between the first annular ridge and the second annular ridge. The pumping elements of the first set of pumping elements have a first angle with respect to the circumferential direction at a first point and a second angle, different from the first angle, with respect to the circumferential direction at a second point.

Seal assembly

A seal assembly for sealing a shaft configured to rotate in a main direction, the seal assembly including a stiffener and at least one elastomer seal member connected to the stiffener, the elastomer seal member including a seal region having a seal section configured to seal against a shaft and seal a to-be-sealed space, the seal section including a first screw thread web structure configured to pump a leakage fluid toward the to-be-sealed space when the shaft rotates in the main direction, a second annular, circumferentially extending web structure configured to sealingly abut on the shaft at least when the shaft is not rotating, and a third annular, circumferentially extending web structure configured to sealingly abut on the shaft at least when the shaft is not rotating, wherein the second web structure is axially spaced from the third web structure.

A sealing arrangement for sealing a first chamber against a second chamber, the sealing arrangement being located between a first machine element and a second machine element. A relative movement occurs between the two machine elements. The sealing arrangement comprises a sealing element which is equipped with at least one sealing lip. The sealing lip(s) is/are held by the sealing element and is/are fixed by the sealing element at one of the machine elements. The sealing lip(s) is/are in sliding contact with the other machine element. The sealing arrangement comprises a lip element that is fixed with one of the machine elements and is in sliding contact with the other machine element. The lip element comprises a conductive element for establishing electrical conductivity of the lip element, so that electrical conductivity is established between the two machine elements by the lip element in an effective an economical manner.

Sealing arrangement

A sealing lip seals a first space from a second space with respect to a liquid medium present in the first space. The sealing lip has abutment surface configured to abut on a sealing surface of a component that is movable relative to the sealing lip along a direction of movement. A groove is defined in the abutment surface and pumps any liquid medium present in the groove towards the first space along the direction of movement. The groove extends completely within the abutment surface and is enclosed by the abutment surface, such that it does not intersect either lateral edge of the sealing lip.

Sealing lip and seal

A radial-shaft sealing assembly includes a sealing lip disposed on a support ring. A cylindrical portion of the sealing lip that abuts on a rotatable shaft contains an elastomeric material and has a profiling for pumping oil or lubricant back to an oil side of the sealing assembly. The profiling includes first and second annular ridges disposed in parallel, and first and second groups of radially-projecting pumping elements disposed therebetween and distributed around the circumference of the cylindrical portion. Each pumping element extending at an angle (&#x3b1;) to the circumferential direction (U) of the cylindrical portion, but the first group of pumping elements has an opposite orientation to the second group of pumping elements.

Sealing assembly

A sleeve is configured to be fitted onto a rotating shaft and the sleeve includes a tubular portion extending in an axial direction and having a cylindrical-shaped sealing guide surface configured to contact a radial shaft seal. A flange extends outward from the tubular portion at least substantially in a radial direction that is perpendicular to the axial direction. A first target break line is defined between the tubular portion and the flange and is configured to facilitate separation of the flange from the tubular portion. Further, a second target break line is defined in or on the flange and is configured to facilitate tearing of the flange at least substantially in the radial direction of the flange up to the first target break line.

Wear-protective sleeve

A sealing assembly includes a seal support having a support ring made from an elastomeric material, at least one seal element having a ring made from a polymer material, and an abutment ring against which a radial portion of the seal element axially abuts. The seal element is connected in a materially-bonded manner to the support ring along a first radially outer portion of the seal element, and the seal element axially abuts on the abutment ring along a second radially inner portion of the seal element. The seal element and the abutment ring are free of any connection along the second radially inner portion of the seal element.

A valve stem seal () seals a valve stem () that is reciprocally movable in an axial direction. The valve stem seal includes a base body () that is connectable with a valve stem guide (). A first seal lip () is resiliently positioned relative to the base body via an elastic connection () and seals the valve stem relative to an oil chamber (). A second seal lip () is spaced in the axial direction () from the first seal lip and seals the valve stem relative to a gas chamber. The second seal lip is also resiliently positioned relative to the base body via the elastic connection.

Valve stem seal

A seal for a compressor for sealing a shaft includes a first seal part of a first material, a second seal part of a second material different from the first material, and a stiffening part. The second seal part is connected at least with a radially extending surface area to at least one of the other parts and the surface area of the second seal part opposite the aforementioned surface area is kept from making contact with the stiffening part. The first seal part is provided, toward the axial side, with a sealing lip which is adapted for sealing contact with the shaft, and the second seal part is made such that the radially inner area of the second seal part extends axially and is free from collision with the sealing lip when the seal is properly installed.
