A juicer combines a juice extracting arrangement for providing extracted juice and a centrifuge unit for separating a juice component of the extracted juice from a foam component of the extracted juice. An output gate of the centrifuge unit allows the passage of the juice component to an outlet. In this way, the outlet has reduced (or eliminated) foam content, which is appreciated by users.

Juicing apparatus and juicing method

A feed chute having a feed opening cooperating with a transparent pusher is disclosed. The transparent pusher is dimensioned to slide through the feed chute to push food articles into a food processor for processing by a food processing element. The feed chute comprises at least one signal processor disposed on the interior surface of the feed chute to ensure consumer safe operation.

The food entry section () comprises said juice outlet () at or near a distal end of said main body relative to the drivetrain, wherein the juice outlet () is vertically displaced relative to the food inlet ().

Horizontal juice extractor

In various embodiments, a masticating juicer may include a housing defining a compression chamber with an inner wall, at least one inlet, at least one juice outlet, and at least one pulp outlet. An auger may be rotatably mounted within the compression chamber and may include upstream and downstream ends and an auger surface in between. The auger may be rotatable about an axis of rotation to masticate and convey material in a downstream direction. The auger may be sized so that a cavity is formed between the auger surface and the inner wall of the compression chamber. An elastic restrictor may extend circumferentially around an interior of the compression chamber to at least partially span the cavity. The elastic restrictor may be shaped to provide variable resistance to material conveyed by the auger depending on a relative position of the material between the inner wall and the auger surface.

Masticating juicer

A modular sieve () for a juicing apparatus is disclosed that comprises a first module () comprising a pattern of first protrusions () having first edge regions (); and a second module () comprising a pattern of second protrusions () having second edge regions () for adjoining neighbouring first edge regions when the first module is engaged with the second module, wherein each first edge region and an adjoining second edge region delimit a plurality of apertures () for passing juice. A juicing apparatus including such a modular sieve is also disclosed.

An appliance for preparing food comprises a pot () for containing food items and a base for supporting the pot (). The base is equipped with heating means () for supplying heat to the pot (), which comprise at least one heating element (). The heating means () are adapted to only partially contact a bottom () of the pot () when the pot () is in place on the base, through at least one contact area which is at a position which corresponds to a position of the heating element (). The present application relates to a centrifugal separator for separating fruit or vegetable juice from fruit or vegetable pulp. The centrifugal separator comprises a body () configured to rotate about a central axis (), a chamber () formed by the body () for receiving pulp and juice, and an elongate aperture () defined by and extending arcuately around the body (). Therefore juice in the chamber () is urged to flow through the aperture () when the body () is rotated about the central axis. The present application also relates to a juicer for extracting fruit and or vegetable juice from fruit or vegetable pulp comprising a centrifugal separator.

A grating disc () arranged to be mounted within a food processor () and to be rotated in a direction of rotation (). The grating disc () comprising at least one grating tooth () for grating food to be processed which tooth protrudes from a surface of the grating disc. The tooth () has an uninterrupted, continuous envelope surface () forming an outer contour of said tooth () which surface has gradient which spatial derivative does not change sign. The envelope surface comprises a front surface () which is, during use, the leading surface of the grating tooth (). The front surface () extends from the grating said disc surface () to a distal end of the grating tooth, and is adapted to be brought into contact with said food during use of said food processor (). The front surface () is delimited in one direction by the grating disc surface, and in at least one other direction by at least one grating edge (). Due to this improved grating disc less food particles remaining on the grating disc&#x2014;i.e. less processed food being caught by the grating tooth&#x2014;implying improved cleanability of the grating disc after use.

Juicer

A kitchen appliance includes a rotatable filter element () having a closed bottomed with a grating disc (). The filter element has an outer perimeter and a conical perforated wall () that extends from the outer perimeter to an upper edge defining an open upper part of the filter element. The kitchen appliance includes a drive motor for driving the filter element and a feeding tube () having a tubular wall extending from a first open distal end for receiving foodstuff to a second open distal end that opens near the grating disc. A cover member () extends from the upper edge of the perforated wall up to the tubular wall of the feeding tube (). The cover member (), the filter element () and the tubular wall define a substantially closed ring-shaped space.
