A surface treatment plant for vehicle bodies having a first treatment area which comprises a first conveyor system enabling a vehicle body to be conveyed through the first treatment area, and a second treatment area which includes a second conveyor system enabling the vehicle body to be conveyed through the second treatment area. A transfer device enables the vehicle body to be transferred from the first conveyor system to the second conveyor system. The transfer device includes supports which engage on regions of the vehicle body and at least one is arranged in particular on the highest point of the horizontal and the vehicle body is oriented roof upwards. A method for separating overspray from the cabin exhaust air of coating systems, in particular of painting systems, which is laden with overspray, the overspray is taken up by an air flow and conveyed to an electrostatically operating separating device. The invention relates to an immersion treatment system, particularly an electrophoretic immersion coating system, comprising at least one immersion basin in a known manner that can be filled with a treatment fluid. A transport system guides the objects to be coated to the immersion basin, into the interior of the immersion basin, out of the immersion basin, and away therefrom. It comprises at least one transport car whereon a vertically displaceable carriage is disposed. A component defining a rotary axis is supported on the same, supporting a mounting device for the object to be treated. A motion sequence for the object can be achieved in said manner, comprising a superposition of a horizontal linear motion, a vertical linear motion, and a rotary motion about the rotary axis.

Immersion treatment system

A lifting station for vertically moving an object, in particular a vehicle body, in a surface treatment installation includes a fixed support structure and a vertically movable lifting cradle which is supported on the support structure and on which at least one conveying device is arranged. Energy for actuating the conveying device can be stored in an energy accumulator arranged on the lifting cradle. In this way, a trailing cable which supplies the conveying device with energy in different lifting positions is not required.

A process and apparatus for repairing small paint defects in powder paint coats. In the process, the paint defect is hollowed out, a filler body, which is adapted to the recess with respect to shape and/or volume, is placed in the recess, the filler body is connected with the powder paint coat surrounding the recess and hardened. A process for repairing relatively small paint faults in powder coating layers, in which, in the region of the faulty point, a cutout is introduced into the powder coating layer with precisely defined dimensions with respect to its area and also with respect to its depth. A filler made of powder coating and/or a pre-product of the powder coating is introduced into the cutout. The filler is dimensioned to correspond to the volume of the cutout, in particular corresponding to the dimensions of the cutout, and is coherent. The filler introduced is joined, in particular bonded, to the powder coating layer arranged outside the cutout.
