A method for controlling at least one switchable valve, a brake impulse that slows down the valve movement being produced during the controlling of the at least one valve. At least one parameter of the brake impulse determines the position and/or the duration of the brake impulse. A parameter is modified, and the reaction of a measurement quantity or of a characteristic feature derived from the measurement quantity is evaluated.

Device for controlling at least one switchable valve

A magnetic actuator, which is used particularly for devices of internal combustion engines, includes a magnetic coil and at least one ferromagnetic component. In this instance, a magnetic flux caused by the magnetic coil is able to be guided via the component. On ferromagnetic component, a magnetic choke point is provided, which is used to adjust the magnetic flux. The magnetic choke point may be formed by a local microstructural modification of a ferromagnetic material of the ferromagnetic component. Furthermore, a valve having such a magnetic actuator and a method for producing such a magnetic actuator are indicated.

A method is described for manufacturing a solenoid valve, in particular a fuel injector, the solenoid valve having a valve needle which is movably guided in the axial direction, a magnet core and an armature which is situated axially diametrically opposed to the magnet core, the armature being situated on the valve needle, the armature having a first base material and a first reinforcing element and the magnet core having a second base material and a second reinforcing element. The method has one method step. The first reinforcing element is applied to the first base material and/or the second reinforcing element is applied to the second base material during the method step with the aid of molten bath spraying or with the aid of cold gas spraying.

Injection valve

A fuel injection valve for injecting fuel includes: a coil, an internal pole, a valve sleeve, and a magnetic separating element, where the valve sleeve and the magnetic separating element are embodied in one piece as a powder injection-molded component, and the valve sleeve forms a magnetic region and the magnetic separating element forms a non-magnetic region, which are intermaterially joined to one another.

Fuel injector valve

An electrically actuatable valve for injecting fuel includes a magnetic actuator having multiple components, at least one component of the magnetic actuator having multiple sectors made of soft magnetic material and multiple insulating separating webs. A separating web is situated between each two neighboring sectors and entirely separates the neighboring sectors from one another electrically.

An injector having a valve opening, a cylindrical pipe, a valve opening, a valve needle situated inside the pipe in the radial direction and guided to allow axial displacement; a solenoid coil situated outside the pipe in the radial direction; a solenoid core disposed inside the pipe in the radial direction; and a magnetic armature situated inside the pipe, opposite the solenoid core in the radial direction, the magnetic armature being disposed on the valve needle. The pipe is a magnetic first material in a first pipe region and a third pipe region, the first region facing the valve opening in the axial direction, and the third pipe region facing away from the valve opening in the axial direction. The pipe is a non-magnetic second material in a second pipe region, the second pipe region being between the first pipe region and the third pipe region in the axial direction.

A fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines includes an electromagnetic actuating element having a solenoid coil, a fixed core, an outer magnetic circuit component, and a movable armature for actuating a valve-closure element, which cooperates with a valve-seat surface provided on a valve-seat element. The injector is characterized by its extremely small outer dimensions. The flexibility in the installation of fuel injectors of varying valve lengths, which is made possible very simply due to the special modular design, is significantly increased in this manner. An optimized dimensioning of the electromagnetic circuit allows for a DFR (dynamic flow range) greater than 17, the DFR being defined as the quotient of q/q.

Fuel injection valve

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines. The valve includes an electromagnetic actuating element which has a solenoid, a solid core, an external magnetic circuit component, and a movable armature for activating a valve closing member which cooperates with a valve seat surface provided on a valve seat member. The valve has extremely small outer dimensions. By optimizing the dimensions of the electromagnetic circuit, the outer diameter of the external magnetic circuit component in the peripheral area of the solenoid is 10.5 mm&#x3c;D&#x3c;13.5 mm. This increases the flexibility in installing fuel injectors having different valve lengths, which are made possible due to the special modular design. The valve is suitable as a fuel injector in particular for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing, spark ignition internal combustion engines.

Fuel injector

The method for manufacturing a solid housing, in particular a valve housing for an electromagnetically operable valve, is characterized in that the following method steps are used: a) providing a sheet metal strip made of a magnetic or magnetizable material, b) introducing an additive into a middle area of the sheet metal strip and fusing there for forming a non-magnetizable structure, c) cutting the sheet metal strip into a sheet metal piece of desired width, d) deforming the sheet metal piece into a sleeve shape, e) mutual fastening of the cut edges now facing each other and running in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve for forming a sleeve blank, f) final machining of the sleeve blank until a desired geometry of the housing is achieved. The housing is suitable in particular for use in fuel injectors in fuel injector systems of mixture-compressing spark-ignition internal combustion engines.

Method for manufacturing a solid housing

A fuel injector, in particular a fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines, has a valve needle which cooperates with a valve-seat surface to form a sealing seat, and an armature which is connected to the valve needle, the armature being acted upon in the closing direction by a restoring spring and cooperating with a magnetic coil. The armature has a guide flange which is guided at an opposite surface. The guide flange does contact the opposite surface in all places, so that recesses are formed between the guide flange and the opposite surface.

This invention is for holding components made of a ferromagnetic material parallel to a component axis for electroplating the component. The component substrate according to the invention has at least two magnet poles, oriented toward the components and having opposite polarity. The magnet field lines extend from one magnet pole to the other magnet pole through the components only in the vicinity of a contact faces of the components oriented toward the magnet poles. This prevents ferromagnetic particles from depositing on the ends of the components remote from the contact faces. The apparatus according to the invention is especially suitable for holding a plurality of components during electrolytic surface coating of the components.
