A control system for a motor vehicle having a first control unit and having a first power electronics unit connected in a signal-transmitting manner to the first control unit for supplying power to a first actuator in normal operation of the control system. In order to ensure proper operation of a control system for a motor vehicle, even in the event of a fault, the control system has a backup control unit and a backup power electronics unit connected in a signal-transmitting manner to the backup control unit for supplying power to the first actuator in a first backup operation of the control system. The backup control unit is connected to the first control unit in a signal-transmitting manner. The control system is transferred from normal operation to the first backup operation as a function of the arrival in the backup control unit of a fault signal.

Control system for a motor vehicle and method for diagnosing a failure in a control system

A plug connection has a plug socket and a plug which can be releasably inserted therein, as well as a plurality of electrically conductive contact areas and spring contacts. The spring contacts are divided into a first group and a second group. In a first state, the spring contacts of the first group are in contact with their associated contact areas and the spring contacts of the second groups rest on at least one stop and are not in contact with their associated contact areas. A trigger causes the spring contacts of the second group to overcome the at least one stop when a defined temperature is exceeded so as to come into contact with their associated contact areas in a second state.

A control system for a motor vehicle, including a first control unit for controlling a first function of the motor vehicle, a second control unit for controlling a second function of the motor vehicle and a backup control unit. To ensure the proper execution of functions controlled of a motor vehicle controlled with the aid of control units even in the case of a defective control unit with preferably little additional effort, the backup control unit is configurable depending on the input of an error signal of the first or second control unit such that an actuator corresponding to the defective control unit is controllable with the aid of the backup control unit. A first backup power electronic module is assigned to the first actuator, and a second backup power electronic module is assigned to the second actuator.

A drive system for a motor vehicle comprising an internal-combustion engine, an electric machine coupled to the internal-combustion engine, and a transmission device through which a ratio change can be implemented without a tractive power interruption is described. Also described is a control device for controlling the electric machine and for controlling the transmission device. The control device is constructed such that, in the event of a braking demand, the demanded total braking torque is at least proportionally provided by the electric machine, and, in the case of an existing braking demand with a constant total braking torque and a change of the transmission ratio implemented in the presence of this braking demand, the electric machine is controlled such that the total braking torque changing because of the ratio change is at least partially compensated, so that a constant total braking torque according to the braking demand is maintained.

In a method for operating a hybrid vehicle, which includes an internal combustion engine and an electric machine as the propulsive drive, the electric machine operates in both motor and generator modes. Furthermore, there is an accumulator device, such as a capacitor assembly, for storing electric energy. The aim is to provide a method that guarantees an improved start-up operation of a hybrid motor vehicle in terms of fuel consumption and emission. This is achieved in that in the start-up operation the torque required on the basis of the request of the driver to drive the vehicle is divided between the internal combustion engine and the electric machine, as a function of the existing operating parameters of the vehicle.

Method for operating a hybrid motor vehicle

A method and device for determining a driving torque correction factor for compensating the driving torques of a drive unit including a first drive device and a second drive device, both of which act with their driving torque on a common drive shaft. The method includes specifying and setting a desired driving torque for one of the two drive devices, adjusting a brake torque for the other of the two drive devices to a brake torque value, which is equivalent to the value of the actual driving torque (that occurs on the basis of the desired driving torque) of one of the two drive devices, and determining the correction value as a function of the specified desired driving torque of the one drive device and as a function of the brake torque value of the other drive device, the brake torque value being adjusted at the time of the compensation of the torques.
