The invention relates to a device for the infiltration of fibrous material with resin for the production of a fiber composite component, comprising a mold tool with a cavity enclosed by at least two tool parts, wherein the mold tool is designed for a relative movement of the at least two tool parts, in such a manner that space can be provided inside the cavity, in a first tool position, to hold the fibrous material, and additional space can be provided to accommodate resin, and the size of the cavity can then be reduced by a movement of the mold tool from the first tool position into a second tool position. According to the invention, a flow promoter is included in the cavity, comprising at least one first layer and one second layer, connected to each other in an edge region of the flow promoter to enclose a flow space, wherein the first layer is impermeable to resin while the second layer provides an outlet for guiding resin out of the flow space and into the fibrous material, and wherein the flow space of the flow promoter is filled with resin and/or the flow promoter has an inlet for conveying resin into the flow space. The invention further relates to a corresponding infiltration process and to a use of the device and/or the method.

Apparatus and method for infiltration of fiber material with resin for the production of a fiber composite component

A flow aid for an infusion structure for infiltrating fiber material with resin to produce a fiber composite component includes a resin-impermeable upper layer and a lower layer which are joined together in a peripheral region of the flow aid and provide a flow space between the two layers. The lower layer provides an outlet for discharging resin out of the flow aid into an interior of the infusion structure. The flow aid includes an inlet for feeding the resin into the flow space, thereby facilitating uniform distribution of the resin over all of the fiber material.

A mold for a production device for production of fiber-reinforced components by means of an injection process is provided. The mold has a mold surface to form a surface of the fiber-reinforced component, the mold surface having a first partial area and a second partial area and in which the mold has an injection area for injection of matrix material into fibrous material situated on the mold surface through the second partial area of the mold surface and evacuation area for evacuation of a mold volume bounded by the mold through the first partial area of the mold surface.

A method for production of fiber composite components, particularly suitable for the production of profiles of complicated shape with varying profile cross-section and/or with at least parts with curved lines, such as used for the production of aircraft, for example. The method (a) produces plural core components, (b) separates application of a first fiber material to each of the core components, (c) assembles the core components provided with the first fiber material to form a sequence of core components, (d) applies a second fiber material common to the core component sequence along at least one side of the core component sequence, provided with the first fiber material, (e) impregnates and hardens the first and second fiber materials to form a fiber-reinforced component body, and (f) separates the component body into plural sections as represented by the fiber composite components.

Method for production of several fibre composite components

In a method, multilayer tailored fiber placement (TFP) preforms of any desired thickness may be easily produced without fixing threads or intermediate layers interfering. Reinforcing fibers are sewn onto a substrate using a chemically or thermally meltable fixing thread thus resulting in the formation of a reinforcing fiber structure. The fixing thread firstly serves to fix the reinforcing fibers on the substrate and is subsequently melted so that the fixing thread disintegrates while pre-fixing the reinforcing fibers and may not influence the mechanical properties of the reinforcing fiber structure.

A fiber composite component is at least partially produced by braiding. It comprises a core element which has at least one concavely constructed face that is adjoined by a passage opening. Respective opposite transverse or longitudinal sides of the core element and the side of the passage opening not bounded by the core element are enclosed by a braided fiber composite loop element.

A ready-made technical process for manufacturing fiber-reinforced plastic building components envisions the use of a link and, optionally, a flange and/or a base using textile blanks as starting material. A fiber composite structural component such as a fitting, bracket, mounting or the like is produced by applying fiber material such as fiber threads or fiber yarns in an automatic circular weaving operation to a core that has at least two sections, to form a fiber material body (). One core section is removed from the fiber material body when the weaving is completed. The body is then deformed in a mold that has the contour of the finished structural component with at least one mold core section still in the fiber material body. The deformed configuration of the structural component is then impregnated in an RTM device with a resin and hardener followed by curing. Reinforcements may be inserted or secured to the fiber material body prior to the impregnated and curing step.
