An air-guiding apparatus has a transversely oriented rear spoiler element that can be moved via hydraulic units into different setting positions with respect to the vehicle. An airflow breakaway edge is provided below the spoiler element and is configured to be set additionally to adjust effects of the spoiler element.

Air-guiding apparatus

A window blind has upper and lower outer edges that follow contours of the window and may be arched slightly to the outside. Upper and lower force-transmitting, low-expansion reinforcing elements made from a cord, a thread or a fiber network are joined fixedly to the outer edges of the knitted fabric of the blind. The reinforcing elements extend between a winding shaft and a pull-out profile that lies opposite the winding shaft on the end side.

An air guiding system for a vehicle, particularly a passenger car, that is arranged in a rear area of the vehicle and has at least one central main air guiding element displaceable from a moved-in inoperative position into a moved-out operative position. Lateral auxiliary air guiding elements are displaceable together with the or each central main air guiding element. The lateral auxiliary air guiding elements can be rotated like a folding knife with respect to the or each central main air guiding element in order to change them from an also moved-in inoperative position into an also moved-out operative position.

Air guiding system for a vehicle

Multi-layer laminates are provided which contain at least two binder layers and at least two textile-containing layers. One binder layer faces a substrate to be reinforced, with a second binder layer between two textile-containing layers wherein one of the textile-containing layers is interposed between the binder layers. The binder layer facing the substrate has an elasticity modulus when cured which is less than or the same as the elasticity modulus of the second binder layer. The laminates are suitable for reinforcing or stiffening planar substrates, especially thin-walled substrates such as motor vehicle body parts.

In its rear area, a motor vehicle has a spoiler arrangement which can be moved by means of an adjusting device from a moved-in inoperative position into a moved-out operative position, and vice versa. In order to provide a rear-side spoiler arrangement which, while it has a simple construction, in the moved-out operative position, can be slid relatively far toward the rear and upward so that an enlarged inflow cross-section is achieved for the cooling of a rear-side air-cooled internal-combustion engine, it is provided that the spoiler arrangement comprises two parts which are hinged to one another. The part which is in the rear viewed in the driving direction is rotatably disposed on the adjacent body at its lower end, whereas the other forward part of the spoiler arrangement interacts with a guiding device arranged on the body side.

In a roof luggage carrier fastening arrangement on a motor vehicle, a support leg of the roof luggage carrier is extended section-wise to the outside of the body and is retained in position by means of a fastening element, whereby the fastening element is screwed into an internal thread fixed on the body side. In order that the roof luggage carrier, with a simple construction, can be installed on the vehicle rapidly and safe against theft, the fastening element is formed by a threaded pin adjustable from a passenger space, which includes an end-retaining section on the side facing the support leg, over which the support leg is adapted to be slipped by means of a longitudinal slot open in the insert direction. By tightening the threaded pin in the direction of the passenger space, the support leg can be clamped against the body.

Fastening arrangement of a roof luggage carrier at a motor vehicle

A motor vehicle, especially a passenger motor vehicle includes a rear engine and an air guide arrangement arranged in the rear area which is displaceable from a rest position extending flush with the adjoining body into an extended operating position, whereby the air guide arrangement extends in the operating position at a distance to the body and a transversely extending gap region disposed to the rear as viewed in the driving direction and lateral outwardly disposed longitudinally extending gap regions are closed off by cover elements. In order that the air guide arrangement can be extended relatively far, on the one hand, and the rear cover element requires as little structural space as possible in the retracted rest position of the air guide arrangement, as viewed in the longitudinal direction, on the other, the cover element for the rear gap region includes at least locally fold or pleat-like sections which in the rest position of the air guide arrangement are disposed folded-together one above the other whereas in the operating position the fold or pleat-like sections assume a nearly extended straight position to one another.

Motor vehicle, especially passenger motor vehicle

A drive mechanism for the moving of an air guide arrangement provided at a motor vehicle from a retracted rest position into an extended operating position and vice versa which includes a toothed segment rotatably supported about an axis that is operatively connected with an adjusting lever of the air guide arrangement. In order to be able to compensate for error sources in the drive mechanism such as over-travel of the electric motor or out-of-adjustment limit switches, the toothed segment and the adjusting lever are supported separate from one another on the axis and are held in a predetermined position relative to one another by way of a spring element disposed therebetween. An entrainment member formed-on at the toothed segment further cooperates with a slot opening in the adjusting lever in such a manner that during the extension of the air guide arrangement into the operating position a rigid force transmission takes place between the toothed segment and the adjusting lever whereas during the end phase of the closing operation of the air guide arrangement, a defined elasticity is present in the force transmission.
