The invention relates to a drinks holder () intended for installation in a dashboard of a motor vehicle. The drinks holder () has a pull-out part (), which is so guided as to be displaceable in the manner of a drawer and which is provided with insertion openings () for inserting drinks containers such as, for example, drinks cans, beakers or cups. The invention proposes providing, at the rear of the pull-out part (), a pivotal part () capable of pivoting downwards, which, when the pull-out part () is pushed into a housing (), pivots downwards so that the length of the pull-out part () in the direction of displacement is reduced. The invention makes possible a drinks holder () housing () of short dimensions, which in the direction of displacement can be shorter than the diameter of the insertion openings ().

A beverage holder for a beverage container for example a can, a cup, or a beaker is provided for installation into a dashboard of a motor vehicle and has a pulled-out portion arranged to be displaceably guided as a drawer and having an insertion opening for a beverage container, wherein the beverage container has a shape of an arc of a circle and is provided with an arcuate slide guide and a support rotatable through 180&deg; for supporting the inserted beverage container securely against tipping over.

A holder for a beverage container in a motor vehicle, has a beverage container receiver for insertion of a beverage container, a guide device for guiding the beverage container receiver a pivot point for pivoting back and forth between a non-use position and a use position, whereby a beverage container is insertable into the beverage container receiver in the use position, a movable support provided for moving the beverage container receiver and forming a blocking mechanism for the guide device of the beverage container receiver, which blocks lowering of the beverage container receiver in the use position.
