A first workflow item grouping container and a second workflow item grouping container are a part of a collection of workflow item grouping containers organizing an end-to-end multi-process workflow solution. An identification and execution condition of the first workflow item grouping container and an identification and execution condition of the second workflow item grouping container are received. A specification of one or more workflow items belonging to the first workflow item grouping container and a specification of one or more workflow items belonging to the second workflow item grouping container are received. Each of the one or more workflow items belonging to the first and second workflow item grouping containers has an individually configurable execution condition and corresponds to a different individual activity of the end-to-end multi-process workflow solution.

Multi-process workflow designer

A user modifiable user interface representation of a first workflow item grouping container and a second workflow item grouping container are provided. The first and second item grouping containers are part of a collection of workflow item grouping containers organizing a design of an end-to-end multi-process workflow solution. An interactive user interface representation of a first workflow item belonging to the first workflow item grouping container and a second workflow item belonging to the second workflow item grouping container are provided. The first and second workflow items correspond to different individual activities of the end-to-end multi-process workflow solution. A user is able to interact with the interactive user interface representation of the first workflow item to modify a workflow property of the first workflow item and to interact with the interactive user interface representation of the second workflow item to modify a workflow property of the second workflow item.

Multi-process workflow designer user interface

A trigger element of a design-time flow plan is set so that the trigger element activates in response computing conditions being satisfied. A decision action element of the design-time flow plan executed at run-time in response to activation of the trigger element is set. The decision action element is implemented by a decision table that includes decision inputs and respective condition logic based on the decision inputs for each of a plurality of decision answers associated with the decision table. The decision table is external to the design-time flow plan. First and second decision answer action elements are defined to execute at run-time respectively when a decision answer served-up by the decision table corresponds to first and second decision answer paths in the design-time flow plan that are associated with a first and second one of the plurality of decision answers, respectively. The design-time flow plan is published.

Creating, executing, and managing flow plans by performing at least the following: creating a trigger for a design-time flow plan that activates when one or more computing conditions are met, define a plurality of action instances for the design-time flow plan that execute after the trigger activates, wherein one or more of the action instances comprise a respective sequence of step instances associated with respective inputs and outputs, save the design-time flow plan within a data model, convert the saved design-time flow plan into a run-time flow plan, and execute one or more operations within the run-time flow plan, wherein the execution of the one or more operations within run-time flow plan occurs simultaneously when the data model is updated with a modified design-time flow plan, and wherein the one or more operations includes a dynamic mutable operation.
