Methods, computer systems and computer readable media for receiving data and information from medical devices in a healthcare setting are provided. In embodiments, a graphical indication is provided that indicates an infusion is being administered. Upon an interaction with the user interface being received, a billing link is provided. Once a selection of the billing link is received, encounter specific infusion information is provided. The encounter specific infusion information is provided to a billing service.

Infusion billing

Methods, computer systems and computer readable media for receiving data and information from medical devices in a healthcare setting are provided. In embodiments, an indication that a bolus is being administered to a patient in association with the infusion is received. Accordingly a graphical indication the bolus is running is provided, the indication causing a volume remaining and the rate of the infusion to be temporarily masked until the bolus is completed. In embodiments, a graphical indication is provided that indicates an infusion is being administered.

Bolus display and documentation

Methods, computer systems and computer readable media for modifying characteristics of a medical device via a mobile device are provided. In embodiments, data communicated by a medical device used to treat a patient is provided to a mobile device associated with a clinician. A notification associated with the medical device is received and communicated to the mobile device. Confirmation of the notification is received from the clinician via the mobile device and the notification is communicated to the medical device. Characteristics of the execution of the previously input order are automatically modified in accordance with the notification.

Modifying characteristics of a medical device utilizing a mobile device

Methods, computer systems and computer readable media for modifying characteristics of a medical device via a mobile device are provided. In embodiments, data communicated by an infusion device providing an infusion to a patient is provided to a mobile device associated with a clinician. A notification associated with the infusion device is received and communicated to the mobile device. Confirmation of the notification is received from the clinician via the mobile device and the notification is communicated to the infusion device. Characteristics of the infusion are automatically modified in accordance with the notification.

Systems, methods, computer storage media, and user interfaces are provided for automatically disassociating medical devices from patients. An indication that a medical device is associated with a patient and is online is received. A disruption in the communication with the medical device that has not been disassociated with the patient is identified. In embodiments, the disruption indicates the medical device has lost a wireless connection, is associated with a scheduled downtime, has been powered off, or is offline. Once it is determined that a predetermined period of time has elapsed since the disruption, the medical device is automatically disassociated from the patient. In embodiments, the medical device is retroactively re-associated to the patient if it is determined the medical device should not have been automatically disassociated from the patient.

Automatically disassociating medical devices from patients

Methods, computer systems and computer readable media of proximity based alarm suppression are provided. In embodiments, a device signal emitted by a device signal transmitter associated with an infusion device is detected. A clinician signal emitted by a clinician signal transmitter associated with a clinician is detected. The device signal and the clinician signal are detected at a signal receiver having a known location. Based on the detecting of the device signal and the clinician signal, the clinician is determined to be in proximity to the infusion device. Based on the proximity of the clinician to the infusion device, an alarm associated with the infusion device is automatically suppressed.
