Provided herein are rapid and effective local infection therapy methods, systems, and devices that significantly reduce the mortality, morbidity, and the cost of care in rare musculoskeletal infections. Continuous delivery of antibiotic therapy locally, at the infection site, reduces edema and provides antibiotic irrigation, significantly improving outcomes while reducing the need for systemic antibiotics.

System and method for treatment and prevention of periprosthetic joint infections

Apparatus and methods for providing spinal percutaneous delivery of an implant that can rigidly fixate the spinous process of a first superior bone and a second inferior bone of a functional spinal unit. In one aspect, the device comprises two bone abutment members connected via an interconnecting member. In another aspect, the method comprises implanting at least two spinal implant apparatus within a target disc space via an implantation apparatus. In another aspect, a placement instrument comprising an implant delivery segment, an anchor segment, and an articulating arm is disclosed.

Devices and methods for spinal stabilization and instrumentation

A delivery instrument for placing an interbody implant into an intervertebral space of a patient comprises a plurality of elongated plates disposed adjacent one another. Each elongated plate has a proximal portion and a distal portion. The distal portion is sized and shaped to fit into the intervertebral space, and is configured to engage a vertebral body in the intervertebral space. An expandable member is coupled to the plurality of elongated plates so as to form an enclosed tube that is sized and shaped to receive the interbody implant. The expandable member allows for translation of the plurality of elongated plates relative to one another as the interbody implant passes through the tube.

Methods and apparatus for an insertion guide device

An interbody implant comprises one or more elongate members that have superior and inferior surfaces with a height, and medial and lateral surfaces having a width. The height is set so the implant fits into the intervertebral space. The width is less than the height. The interbody implant has a first configuration, a second configuration, and a third configuration. The interbody implant is inserted into the intervertebral space in the first configuration such that medial and lateral surfaces contact the vertebral bodies, and the interbody implant is then actuated into the second configuration such that superior and inferior surfaces engage the vertebral bodies. Actuation of the implant from the first configuration to the second configuration distracts the vertebral bodies. The implant is actuated into the third configuration where the width of the implant is greater than width of the implant in the first or the second configuration.

Methods and apparatus for implanting an interbody device

A device and method for treatment of post-operative surgical site wounds. Device includes an elongated hollow shaft that spans from the wound closure to the deep wound area, the internal end abutting a wound dressing and the external end connecting to a device that can provide negative-pressure suction and irrigation. Device providing one or more of irrigation, suction, and/or local antibiotic delivery to deep infections through a closed-wound. The method for removal includes narrowing a removal element relative to the long axis, collapsing the wound dressing; removing the wound dressing through the elongated shaft; and removing the device through a closed wound, avoiding a second removal surgery.

Post-operative surgical site wound treatment and method for device removal

A delivery device for inserting an interbody implant into an intervertebral space in a patient has an elongate tube with a channel and is sized to fit in an intervertebral space. The elongate tube has a proximal portion, a distal portion, a longitudinal axis, and a window with a longitudinal axis. The window is disposed adjacent the distal portion of the elongate tube and the longitudinal axis of the window is offset from the longitudinal axis of the elongate tube. The channel is sized to receive the interbody implant, and also the channel is configured such that the interbody implant is advanced therealong from the proximal region toward the distal region. The interbody implant is deployed into the intervertebral space from the window.

A prosthesis for the replacement of at least a portion of the bone of a facet located on a mammalian vertebra, comprising: an articulating surface that articulates with another facet; a bone contacting surface that contacts a surface of the vertebra, the articulating surface being connected to the bone contacting surface; and a fixation element that attaches the bone contacting surface to the vertebra, the fixation element being adapted for implantation into an interior bone space of a pedicle of the vertebra; wherein the prosthesis is configured so that no portion of the prosthesis contacts the posterior arch of the vertebra.

The present invention is directed a poly-axial bone securing system including a bone securing member and a coupling element. The coupling element includes an opening to permit the bone securing member to pass therethrough and a seat for contacting a head portion of the bone securing member. The opening including a discrete number of contact surfaces or points for engaging the head portion of the bone securing member so that discrete frictional or gripping forces may be generated at interface points of each contact surface or point.
