Systems and methods described herein enable automation of network slice deployments. A network device stores a group of preconfigured templates for different slice segments of a data transport network and identifies customer parameters for a slice. The network device retrieves a first template that satisfies the customer parameters for a first slice segment and generates a first segment design for the slice. The network device retrieves a second template that supports the first segment design and customer parameters for a second slice segment and generates at least one second segment design for the slice. The network device assembles an end-to-end slice design using the first segment design and the at least one second segment design and forwards the end-to-end slice design to a deployment system for the data transport network.

Systems and methods for automation of end-to-end network slice deployment

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a network slice usage service is provided. The network slice usage service may allow a network device to obtain a network slice usage value of a network slice. The network device may calculate a network slice load value based on the network slice usage value. The network device may also provide the network slice load value to other network devices of a core network.

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a network slice usage subscription service is provided. The network slice usage subscription service may allow a network device to obtain network slice usage information and event notifications. The event notification may indicate when an end device is using a network slice and when the end device is no longer the network slice. The network device may include an application function (AF) device. The network device may use the event notification to perform an operation relating to the network slice and/or the end device.

In some implementations, a network device may receive an identifier associated with an application server. The network device may associate the identifier with a service profile associated with a network slice based on a quality of service associated with the network slice. The network device may provide, to a device associated with the application server, information indicating that the identifier is associated with the service profile. The network device may receive address information associated with the application server. The network device may associate the address information with the service profile. The network device may provide service profile information to a security device included in a core network to cause the security device to forward traffic transmitted by the application server toward a destination via the network slice. The service profile information may include an identifier associated with the service profile, the identifier, and the address information.

Systems and methods for network based dynamic network slice selection control and federation

A method, a network device, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are described in relation to a network performance and management service. The network performance and management service may include generating prospective network performance information pertaining to a network element and/or a geographic service area based on current network analytics information, network topology information, and crowd and test data. The prospective network performance information may include prospective performance metric values, probability, and confidence values. The network performance and management service perform a network modification when expected network performance information requirements may not be met.

Method and system for predictive and feedback management of network performance

A device processes a communication between a source and user equipment. The user equipment is one of a plurality of user equipment connected to a network and the user equipment is associated with an entity. The device determines that the communication is associated with an anomalous traffic pattern. The device implements a provisional blocking of traffic between the source and the plurality of user equipment connected to the network and generates a filtering rule based on determining the anomalous traffic pattern, where the filtering rule prescribes that traffic between the source and the second user equipment is to be blocked. The device transmits a notification to the entity associated with the user equipment that requests that the entity affirm the filtering rule, and the device blocks traffic between the source and the user equipment based on the entity affirming the filtering rule.

User-determined network traffic filtering

A device may receive provisioning data identifying an application server and a user equipment. The device may provide a request for reachability data associated with the user equipment and may receive the reachability data. The device may cause a trigger for a packet and data identifying the application server to be provided to the user equipment. The device may receive, from the user equipment, the packet that includes a network address and a port identifier of a port of the user equipment. The device may provide, to a firewall associated with the application server, an identifier, the network address, and the port identifier. The device may cause, via the firewall, the reachability data, the network address, and the port identifier to be provided to the application server to enable the application server to provide data to the user equipment.

Systems and methods for facilitating data transmission to internet of things devices

A system described herein may provide a technique for automatically mitigating excessive pings transmitted by a User Equipment ('UE') through a wireless telecommunications network by instructing the UE to take remedial action and/or by modifying the UE's access to the network. A given UE transmitting excessive pings may be automatically identified based on dynamic thresholds which may vary based on factors such as network congestion, and the instructions may include instructions to shut down, restart, or send fewer pings. The access may be modified by modifying subscription information for the UE at a subscriber information repository.

A device may receive, from a user equipment (UE), authentication data that includes user information associated with a user of the UE. The device may determine whether the user is authorized to make requests to a service. The device may grant access to the user to make requests to the service. The device may receive, from the UE, a request that is intended for the service. The request may relate to an action that is to be performed by the service. The device may determine whether the user has permission to request the action. The device may provide the request to the service. The device may receive, from the service, a response to the request. The device may provide, to the UE, the response.

Systems and methods for inspection of the contents of an application programing interface request

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a network slice usage service is provided. The network slice usage service may allow a network device to obtain a network slice usage value of a network slice. The network device may be implemented as a network data analytics function (NWDAF). The network slice usage value may be provided by an access and mobility management function (AMF). The network device may calculate a network slice load value based on the network slice usage value. The network device may also provide the network slice load value to other network devices of a core network, such as a network slice selection function (NSSF) and/or a policy control function (PCF).

A device may broadcast content (e.g., using Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS), evolved MBMS (eMBMS), or Cell Broadcast Service (CBS)); determine that a user device has received the content; determine analytics information regarding the user device; identify, based on the analytics information, personalized content for the user device; and output, to the user device, the personalized content. The user device may receive the broadcasted content; present the broadcasted content; output an indication that the broadcasted content is being presented; receive the personalized content that was generated based on the outputted indication; and present the personalized content in conjunction with the broadcasted content. The user device may further receive content that has been personalized for other user devices, and a network layer of the user device may discard the content personalized for other user devices before an application layer of the user device receives the content personalized for the user device.
