A method of detecting and disabling offending devices includes monitoring for a radio frequency signal. When an offending device initializes and registers with a cell tower, it emits the radio frequency signal. After the radio frequency signal is detected, a message including an identification of the radio frequency signal is transmitted to a receiver of a base station. Responsive to receiving the message, the base station sends a secure transaction that includes an indication of the radio frequency signal to a processor of a cellular carrier system. Responsive to receiving the secure transaction, the processor of the cellular carrier system correlates a time and the radio frequency signal with an account associated with the registration of the offending device, disconnects the offending device and/or disables an account associated with the offending device.

System, method, and apparatus for detecting and preventing wireless connections

A method of detecting and disabling offending devices includes monitoring for a radio frequency signal. When an offending device initializes and registers with a cell tower, it emits the radio frequency signal. After the radio frequency signal is detected, a message including an identification of the radio frequency signal is transmitted to a receiver of a base station. Responsive to receiving the message, the base station sends a secure transaction that includes an indication of the radio frequency signal to a processor of a cellular carrier system. Responsive to receiving the secure transaction, the processor of the cellular carrier system correlates a time and the radio frequency signal with an account associated with the registration of the offending device, disconnects from the offending device, and disables an account associated with the offending device.

Ingestible bio-telemetry communication network and associated systems are described. The communication network can include one or more ingestible bio-telemetry tags; and a reader, wherein each of the one or more ingestible bio-telemetry tags generates an out-link signal comprising, for each bit of data in a frame, a pulse reverse keyed symbol. Multiple ingestible bio-telemetry tags can be managed at the same time by allowing the frequency of the transmit carrier signal to change, or 'hop' to different frequencies so as to minimize likelihood of collision. A reader can identify the proper frequency either by a signal from the tags indicated the frequency of the next hop or, when no bi-directional communication is available, by deducing the carrier signal frequency from the start bits of a received frame from the tag and scanning for the shifted carrier signal frequency within a tolerance of the deduced carrier signal frequency.

Ingestible bio-telemetry communication network and associated systems

An improved frequency counter for more reliably reading the frequency of low level signals by employing a method of separating the desired signal from undesirable noise related signals, wherein the frequency counter comprises signal input amplifier circuitry, a frequency modulator circuit for phase shifting the self-oscillation frequency of the undesired signal to isolate it from the valid signal, a prescaler circuit, a frequency or pulse counter driven by the output of the prescaler, and a correlator circuit for differentiating the self-oscillation frequencies from the main signal frequency so as to reduce false correlations between the self-oscillation, or noise, and valid signals.
