An expandable device for attachment to a portable electronic device having first and second surfaces includes a button having a top side, a bottom side, and a coupling portion and further includes an elongated body having a top side, a bottom side, and a platform coupling portion. The button is movable between an expanded position and a collapsed position. The bottom side of the platform engages a portion of the portable electronic device and the platform coupling portion engages the coupling portion of the button. When coupled to the positioning platform, the button is movable between a first position where the button is positioned along the first surface of the portable electronic device and a second position where the button is positioned along the second surface of the portable electronic device.

Grip for a foldable electronic device

Induction charging devices and methods are disclosed for a portable electronic device that has a reception coil coupled to a power source and an outwardly projecting attachment mounted thereon. In some versions, the devices include a housing having a wall with an outwardly facing charging surface and a recess sized to receive the attachment with the portable electronic device disposed on the charging surface. In some versions, devices can include an attachment device coupled to a rear of a housing that can releasably secure to a portion of a vehicle and a mount coupled to a front of the housing configured to receive a portion of the attachment therein to secure the portable electronic device to the housing. A charging assembly within the housing can include a transmission coil disposed so that with the recess or mount receiving the attachment therein, the transmission and reception coils are sufficiently aligned to charge the power source of the portable electronic device.

A surgical instrument includes a housing, first, second, and third actuators operably coupled to the housing, an at least partially semi-rigid shaft extending distally from the housing, an end effector assembly disposed at a distal end of the shaft, and first, second, and third bars extending through the shaft in non-coaxial arrangement. The first bar is operably coupled between the first actuator and the end effector assembly such that actuation thereof effects manipulation of the end effector assembly. The second bar is operably coupled between the second actuator and a first deployable component such that actuation thereof effects deployment of the first deployable component relative to the end effector assembly. The third bar is operably coupled between the third actuator and a second deployable component such that actuation thereof effects deployment of the second deployable component relative to the end effector assembly.

A robotic apparatus moveable between a bipod mode and a tripod mode includes a housing, a first leg and a second leg extending from the housing, and a retractable third leg positioned between the first leg and the second leg. The third leg is configured to extend from the housing in the tripod mode and retract at least partially into the housing in the bipod mode. The robotic apparatus also includes a motor disposed within the housing and a transmission system coupled between the motor and at least one of the first leg, the second leg, and the third leg. The transmission system is configured to move the robotic apparatus between the bipod mode where the first leg and the second leg support the housing and the tripod mode where the first leg, the second leg, and the third leg support the housing.

An electrosurgical instrument includes a housing, a shaft extending from the housing, and an end effector assembly attached at a distal end of the shaft. A handle assembly is coupled to the housing and includes a movable handle for manipulating the end effector assembly. An outer sleeve is disposed about the shaft and selectively translatable relative thereto. An energizable member is operably coupled to the outer sleeve. A deployment mechanism is provided including a lever rotatably coupled to the housing and positioned proximally of the movable handle and at least one link member coupled between the lever and the outer sleeve. The link member(s) couple to the outer sleeve distally of the movable handle. Rotation of the lever translates the outer sleeve distally to move the outer sleeve over the end effector assembly and simultaneously deploy the energizable member distally past the end effector assembly.

Deployment mechanisms for surgical instruments

A multi-body self-propelled device can include a drive body and a coupled head. The drive body can include a spherical housing and an internal drive system within the spherical housing to propel the multi-body self-propelled device. The drive body can further include a magnet support assembly comprising a rotating portion including a plurality of magnets and a stationary portion comprising one or more magnets. The drive body can further include a yaw motor to drive the rotating portion of the magnet support assembly. The coupled head can include (i) a corresponding rotating portion comprising a plurality of magnets in magnetic interaction, through the spherical housing, with the plurality of magnets of the magnet support assembly, and (ii) a corresponding stationary portion comprising one or more magnets in magnetic interaction with the one or more magnets of the magnet support assembly.
