An intubation device for intubating a patient includes a handle for holding the intubation device by a user, a single-use intubation blade that includes a retainer clip and a mounting lug held fixedly to the intubation blade by the retainer clip, a ratchet collar that is rotatably connected to the handle. The ratchet collar is rotatable with respect to the intubation blade in a first travel direction to mount the intubation blade to the handle and in a second travel direction to dismount the intubation blade from the handle. The intubation device also includes a disabling mechanism for preventing re-use of the intubation. The disabling mechanism includes a break-away section of the retainer clip, and gear teeth that have a first gear tooth surface. When the ratchet collar is rotated the first gear tooth surface breaks the break-away section dislocating the mounting lug.

A hand held intubation camera device including a hand held display unit, the display unit including a trigger for actuating a camera. The device also including a disposable stylet connectable to the display unit, the stylet including a camera element formed at a distal end operable by the hand held display unit, and a light emitting element. The device also including a single use interconnect preventing a disposable stylet from being reinserted into the hand held display unit once removed following an initial use.

A model for demonstrating a physiological condition of a part of a being includes a chamber with a transparent wall, and first and second components located in the chamber and configured to represent the part of the being and a substance capable of affecting the normal condition of the being's part, respectively. The components interact with one another to demonstrate the physiological condition of the organ caused by the substance during displacement of the model.

An economical, diagnostic, sensory testing instrument having a semi-rigid filament rigidly secured within a hand-gripped support for use in the care and treatment of sensory-affecting conditions. The filament is adapted for perpendicular contact with a testing surface, and maintains an outwardly projecting orientation with respect to the support until such contact reaches a predetermined force that causes the filament to buckle.

A pellet compartment is separated from an actuator compartment by a partition wall. The pellet compartment communicates with a dispensing port formed in the actuator compartment by way of a truncated spout. A thumb-operated actuator drives a shutter between the dispensing port and the spout and further indexes a wheel to indicate that the dispenser has been actuated. The actuator, shutter and index wheel, as well as a ratchet mechanism engaged with the index wheel, are interconnected by an elastic band.
