A system and method are provided for manufacturing a tower structure. Accordingly, a first printed layer of a wall element is deposited with a printhead assembly, and an actual midline perimeter length of the first printed layer is determined. A horizontal reinforcement assembly is then formed based, at least in part, on the actual midline perimeter length. The formed horizontal reinforcement assembly is positioned in a horizontal orientation on the first printed layer and in axial alignment with the vertical axis of the tower structure. With the horizontal reinforcement assembly positioned on the first printed layer, a second printed layer of the wall element is deposited via the printhead assembly on the horizontal reinforcement layer.

System and method for manufacturing a tower structure

An additive manufacturing system includes a build platform, a particulate dispenser assembly configured to dispense or remove particulate to or from the build platform, and a plurality of print heads each having at least one binder jet. The binder jets are configured to dispense at least one binder in varying densities onto the particulate in multiple locations to consolidate the particulate to form the component with a variable binder density throughout. The system also includes a plurality of arms extending at least partially across the build platform and supporting the print heads and at least one actuator assembly configured to rotate the print heads and/or the build platform about a rotation axis and move at least one of the print heads and the build platform in a build direction perpendicular to the build platform as part of a helical build process for the component.

Additive manufacturing systems and methods including rotating binder jet print head

Methods and systems for fabricating a component by consolidating a particulate include a build platform configured to receive a particulate, a particulate dispenser configured to deposit the particulate on the build platform, and at least one print head including at least one jet. The at least one print head is configured to dispense a binder through the at least one jet onto the particulate to consolidate at least a portion of the particulate and form a component. The methods and systems also include at least one actuator assembly configured to rotate at least one of the at least one print head and the build platform about a rotation axis extending through the build platform and move at least one of the at least one print head and the build platform in a build direction perpendicular to the build platform as part of a helical build process for the component.

An apparatus for inspecting integrity of a multi-barrier wellbore is described. The apparatus includes at least one source to generate radiation to impinge a target volume of the wellbore. The apparatus includes a source collimator having a plurality of alternating blocking channels and passing channels to direct radiation to impinge the target volume, such that the radiation directed from each passing channel forms a plurality of field of views extending radially into the target volume. The apparatus further includes at least one detector to receive backscatter rays arising from each respective field of view from the plurality of field of views and to generate an image representative of an inspected portion of the wellbore. The apparatus is useful for inspecting very small volumes in the multiple barriers of the wellbore and determine the integrity of the wellbore based on the different densities in the image of the inspected portion.

A detector assembly includes scintillators configured to generate a light signal in response to an impinging backscatter signal, where the scintillators are arranged in a first pattern, a plurality of first detectors, where each first detector is coupled to a scintillator and configured to receive a first portion of a light signal from that scintillator, and where the first detectors are arranged in a second pattern aligned with the first pattern, a plurality of second detectors, where each second detector is disposed adjacent a scintillator and configured to receive a second portion of the light signal from that scintillator, and where the plurality of second detectors is arranged in a third pattern, and a scintillator collimator including a plurality of openings and configured to selectively receive the backscatter signal, where the detector assembly is configured to provide depth resolution, azimuthal resolution, a defect type, a defect size, or combinations thereof.

System and method for monitoring integrity of a wellbore

A detector assembly includes a scintillator configured to generate a light signal in response to an impinging radiation signal from an object, where the scintillator has a first end and a second end. Further, the detector assembly includes a first detector disposed adjacent the scintillator and configured to receive a first portion of the light signal from the scintillator and a second detector operatively coupled to the second end of the scintillator and configured to receive a second portion of the light signal from the scintillator. The detector assembly also includes a reflector operatively coupled to the scintillator and the first detector and configured to guide the light signal from the scintillator to the first detector, where the reflector is configured to redirect the first portion of the light signal by a determined amount to reduce a path length between a radiation source, the object, and the scintillator.

The first and second tip shroud fixing members are configured and disposed to retain and establish an orientation of a bucket tip shroud relative the frame. A plurality of reference points are provided on the frame. The plurality of reference points are configured and disposed to receive a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) probe.

A collimator grid and a method of fabricating the collimator grid are disclosed. The method includes molding a plurality of plates, each plate includes a plurality of grooves in a first surface, a plurality of fin tips in a second surface disposed opposite to the first surface, plurality of ribs on a first pair of peripheral sides, a plurality of first fiducials formed on the plurality of ribs, and a plurality of second fiducials formed on a second pair of peripheral sides. The method includes machining the second surface to form the plurality of fins having predefined dimensions. Further, the method includes stacking the plurality of plates overlapping each other based on the plurality of first fiducials, and machining the plurality of ribs and first fiducials to form the collimator grid.
