In particular, various aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a network entity to select a beam of a plurality of beams for communications between a base station and a user equipment (UE) based on line-of-sight (LOS) path detection results. In some implementations, the LOS path detection results may include an indication as to whether a PRS includes an LOS path signal and/or an NLOS, and/or a signal strength of the LOS path signal, as well as other information that a network entity (e.g., a UE or a base station) may use in a beam management procedure (e.g., to select a beam). Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Positioning reference signals (PRS)-assisted beam management for communication

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may be used to help enable low latency communications between a user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) using quick uplink channels that enable a reduced transmission time interval (TTI). An example method generally includes identifying a plurality of slots in a subframe, receiving a resource configuration for an uplink channel, wherein the resource configuration is associated with a first slot of the plurality of slots, determining a resource for transmitting the uplink channel in a second slot of the plurality of slots, wherein the resource is determined based on the resource configuration associated with the first slot of the plurality of slots, and transmitting the uplink channel in the second slot using the determined resource.

Methods, systems, and devices for dynamic rate matching patterns for spectrum sharing are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may measure one or more interference levels associated with resources of a physical resource block (e.g., interference levels associated with respective subcarriers or other division in the frequency domain, with respective symbol durations or other division in the time domain, or a combination thereof), and determine a rate matching pattern based on the interference level measurements. In some examples, the rate matching pattern may include a pattern of resources for communications between the UE and a base station (e.g., for downlink communications). The UE may transmit an indication of the rate matching pattern to the base station, and the base station may schedule or transmit one or more subsequent downlink transmissions based at least in part on the indication of the rate matching pattern received from the UE.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for application of a repetition factor to uplink (UL) control channels. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, on a downlink (DL) control channel, an indication of a configuration for repetition of a UL control channel scheduled by the DL control channel and another UL control channel, wherein the configuration is applied for repetition of the other UL control channel after a configured time period starting from reception of the DL control channel; and transmitting the repetition of the UL control channel and the repetition of the other UL control channel in accordance with the configuration.

Disclosed are various techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) identifies a set of positioning sources, each positioning source comprising a positioning reference signal (PRS) resource, a PRS resource set, a PRS frequency layer, and/or a transmission/reception point (TRP). From the set of positioning sources, the UE identifies a consistency group comprising a collection of positioning sources grouped based on expected values of at least one metric of a reference signal from each positioning source, measured values of the at least one metric for the reference signal from each positioning source, and an error threshold. The UE identifies one or more subsets of positioning sources within the consistency group, each subset having at least one metric error value. The UE reports, to a network entity, information about the consistency group and information about at least one of the subsets of positioning sources within the consistency group.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described, in which temporary reference signals may be configured for use in secondary cell (SCell) activation. A user equipment (UE) may perform wireless communications with a first serving cell supported by a base station, and may receive an indication that a SCell is to be activated. As a result of activation of the SCell, the UE may perform one or more measurements on a reference signal of the SCell that is being activated. The one or more measurements may be performed on a temporary reference signal of the SCell that has one or more parameters that are indicated to the UE with the SCell activation information. The one or more parameter may be indicated by downlink control information (DCI), one or more medium access control (MAC) control elements, implicit signaling, or any combinations thereof.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first communication device may transmit a reference signal and an offset to a second communication device. The offset may be between a first beam associated with the reference signal and a second beam associated with a data signal. The second communication device may perform measurements on the reference signal and use such measurements, in conjunction with the offset, to determine a beam for the first communication device to transmit communications. The second communication device may transmit an interference message corresponding to the second beam. The first communication device may transmit communications via the second beam.
