A method of cross validating a positioning reference signal includes: measuring, at a first UE, a first PRS resource to determine a first PRS measurement; receiving, from a second UE via sidelink communication, a second PRS measurement of a second PRS resource; and determining whether at least one of the first PRS measurement or the second PRS measurement is unreliable based on a relationship of the first PRS measurement to the second PRS measurement.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently transmitting data and control information in a first RACH message to a base station as part of a two-step RACH procedure. In particular, rather than or in addition to transmitting data and control information in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in the first RACH message, a user equipment (UE) may transmit the data and control information along with a RACH preamble in a RACH occasion in the first RACH message (e.g., when the number of bytes of data or control information to be transmitted is low). Using these techniques, in some instances, the UE may transmit the data and control information in a first RACH message without transmitting the PUSCH, and the overhead associated with transmitting the PUSCH may be eliminated.

The UE may monitor a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) during a first time interval associated with a first grid, of the plurality of grids. The UE may receive an indication to skip PDCCH monitoring based at least in part on monitoring the PDCCH during the first time interval. The UE may monitor the PDCCH during a second time interval associated with a second grid, of the plurality of grids. Grid-aligned physical downlink control channel skipping for periodic traffic

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) transmitting a first signal using a first waveform type. After transmitting the first signal using the first waveform type, the UE may identify a trigger event for waveform type switching by the UE and select a waveform type from among a set of waveform types based on identifying the trigger event. The UE may then transmit a second signal using the selected waveform type.

A wireless communication device can activate a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode having first inactive and active time periods allowing a user equipment (UE) to communicate sidelink control signals to another UE. Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating ACK/NACK feedbacks for multi-user and unicast physical down-link shared channel (PDSCH) communications are provided. A UE may receive a multi-user PDSCH communication including a first transport block (TB) for the UE and may receive a unicast PDSCH communication including a second TB for the UE. The UE may determine a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook for the first TB associated with the multi-user PDSCH communication and the second TB associated with the unicast PDSCH communication. The UE may transmit a first acknowledgement/negative-acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) feedback for the first TB and a second ACK/NACK feedback for the second TB based on the determined HARQ codebook.
