Indoor communication mode for user equipment

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first packet and a second packet for transmission during a period for a periodic application. The UE may transmit the first packet and the second packet in a combination of a dynamic grant and a configured grant occasion. In some aspects, a network entity may receive a first packet and a second packet for transmission. The network entity may transmit the first packet and the second packet in a combination of a dynamic grant and a semi-persistent scheduling occasion. Numerous other aspects are described.

Semi-persistent scheduling activation and deactivation

Aspects of the disclosure relate to, at a wireless communication device, occupying a slot in a first subchannel, wherein the first subchannel comprises a sidelink subchannel in a licensed band, transmitting sidelink control in the first subchannel during the slot, except during a symbol gap indicated to include at least a last symbol of a plurality of symbols supported by the slot, seeking access to a secondary carrier in an unlicensed band, and transmitting sidelink traffic in the secondary carrier upon receiving the access to the secondary carrier. FBE-based licensed assisted sidelink access

The present disclosure relates to transmitting and receiving improved monitoring reports. A base station can configure a user equipment (UE) to monitor a channel/signal on multiple beams. The base station can transmit the multiple beams to the UE, which are at different time periods in a monitoring window. The UE can then monitor the multiple beams within the monitoring window and determine a monitoring report. The UE can then transmit the monitoring report to the base station, wherein the monitoring report indicates a subset of multiple beams as being more or less suitable for communication. The base station can also indicate that it will stop transmitting one or more beams and then stop transmitting the beams. If the UE does not send the report, the base station can continue to transmit the multiple beams.

Dynamic search space configuration

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for conveying information via medium access control (MAC) control element (CEs). In some cases, the MAC-CEs may relate to sidelink communications between two user equipments (UEs). A first wireless node may send the first MAC-CE on at least one of a sidelink or a cellular link and provide providing routing information for the first MAC-CE. The routing information may indicate, for example, a source node, a destination node, or a transit route through one or more nodes. The routing information may also indicate whether traffic sent with the first MAC-CE is relayed traffic or traffic originating at the first node.

Sidelink medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) designs

This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus, computer programs encoded on computer readable-medium to provide a user equipment (UE) to receive a reference signal from a base station, wherein the reference signal is received within a frequency-time region that overlaps with a control channel frequency-time region, generate information related to a control channel between the UE and the base station based on the reference signal, and transmitting the information to the base station.

Channel state information (CSI) feedback for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH)

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a fixed frame period (FFP) configured for the UE in a frame based equipment mode. The FFP configured for the UE includes one or more idle periods and a channel occupancy time that is offset from an FFP configured for a base station communicating with the UE over an unlicensed channel. The UE may refrain from transmitting over the unlicensed channel during the one or more idle periods. The one or more idle periods may at least partially overlap with a time period in which the base station refrains from transmitting over the unlicensed channel. Numerous other aspects are provided.

In some aspects, a user equipment may transmit, in a first slot within a channel occupancy time (COT), a first communication; determine whether one or more transmission criteria are satisfied for transmission of a second communication in a second slot within the COT; and selectively transmit the second communication in the second slot within the COT based at least in part on a result of determining whether the one or more transmission criteria are satisfied. Discontinuous transmission in shared channel occupancy time for sidelink communication in unlicensed spectrum

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for signaling a user equipment (UE) to put a sidelink (SL) component carrier (CC) into dormancy or take the SL CC out of dormancy, such as mode 1 or mode 2 sidelink communications. In one example, a method performed by a UE includes receiving an indication to put a first CC into dormancy; and putting an SL CC into a dormant state in response to the indication. In another example, a method includes transmitting an indication that the first UE will put an SL CC into a dormant state; and receiving an acknowledgment (ACK) of the indication.

Dormancy indication in sidelink communication systems

Methods, systems, and devices for communications management are described. In one example, a method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) is described. The method may include receiving a configuration of a first search space (SS) set and a second SS set and identifying a link between the first SS set and the second SS set for physical downlink control channel repetition. The method may also include identifying one or more monitoring occasions in the first SS set or the second SS set to monitor for downlink control information based at least in part on an overlap rule associated with the link between the first SS set and the second SS set for physical downlink control channel repetition. The method may include monitoring the identified one or more monitoring occasions in at least the first SS set or the second SS set for the downlink control information.

Resolving ambiguities for search space set linking for physical downlink control channel repetition

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a user equipment (UE) entering a dormant state with respect to a secondary cell group (SCG) of a node network (SN) having a primary serving cell (PSCell). In one aspect, the UE may maintain a parameter set for at least the PSCell while the UE is in the dormant state with respect to the SCG. For example, the UE may receive a parameter change message from either the SN or a master network (MN) and transmit a parameter change acknowledgment to either the SN or the MN. The parameter change message may be transmitted as one or both of a downlink control information (DCI) or media access control (MAC) control element (CE). The UE may transmit physical layer measurements to the SN based on the parameter set.

User equipment (UE) physical layer measurement reporting in secondary cell group (SCG) dormancy

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a communication device may receive control signaling (e.g., a broadcasted control signal) from another communication device. The control signaling may indicate beam information for one or more beams of a set of beams. The one or more beams may correspond to the serving cell or one or more neighboring cells. The beam information may include one or more metrics associated with each of the one or more beams. As such, the communication device may determine that a metric associated with each of the one or more beams satisfies a threshold, select the beam, and communicate using the selected beam. In some other examples, the beam-specific information may include beam measurement offsets for one or more beams. In such examples, the communication device may select a beam based on the beam measurement offsets and perform communications using the selected beam.

A method of cross validating a positioning reference signal includes: measuring, at a first UE, a first PRS resource to determine a first PRS measurement; receiving, from a second UE via sidelink communication, a second PRS measurement of a second PRS resource; and determining whether at least one of the first PRS measurement or the second PRS measurement is unreliable based on a relationship of the first PRS measurement to the second PRS measurement.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently transmitting data and control information in a first RACH message to a base station as part of a two-step RACH procedure. In particular, rather than or in addition to transmitting data and control information in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in the first RACH message, a user equipment (UE) may transmit the data and control information along with a RACH preamble in a RACH occasion in the first RACH message (e.g., when the number of bytes of data or control information to be transmitted is low). Using these techniques, in some instances, the UE may transmit the data and control information in a first RACH message without transmitting the PUSCH, and the overhead associated with transmitting the PUSCH may be eliminated.
