In an approach for enabling communication between offline devices to perform secure transaction, a processor sends information in an optically recognizable first code including a response type, an identity of the first device and a type of optical reader associated with the first device. A processor receives encoded information in an optically recognizable second code. A processor extracts a user identifier and the one-time password associated with the registered second device. A processor determines that a user certificate associated with the user identifier exists in a local repository. A processor validates the one-time password associated with the registered second device with the user certificate using a public certificate associated with the first device, the one-time password associated with the registered second device and the one-time password seed. A processor authenticates the user.

Offline bidirectional transaction and secure system

An approach for enhancing a video stream. The approach processes a video stream and identifies frames comprising text. The approach marks text extraction locations and extracts the text from the frames. The approach determines if a mirroring effect should be applied to the text and applies if applicable, creating enhanced text. The approach inserts the enhanced text and smooths the edges of the inserted enhanced text. The approach merges the frames with the enhanced text into the video stream, creating an enhanced video stream and sends the enhanced video stream to requesting users.

The method includes one or more processors identifying a textual data entry to an interactive internet-based application. The method further includes determining a tone of the textual data entry. The method further includes generating a personality profile corresponding to the posting account based on the textual data entry associated with the posting account. The method further includes determining a context of the textual data entry based on semantic features of the textual data entry. The method further includes classifying the personality profile corresponding to the posting account. The method further includes performing a defined action that prevents engagement between the posting account and the interactive internet-based application.

An example computer implemented method of processing new events comprises receiving a new event for a user's calendar; extracting event information from the new event, the event information corresponding to user-defined criteria, wherein each of the user-defined criteria is associated with a respective user-defined weight; comparing the extracted event information with user-defined values associated with the user-defined criteria; computing an acceptance score for the new event based on the comparison of the extracted event information with the user-defined values and on the respective user-defined weights; comparing the acceptance score to a first user-defined threshold; and in response to determining that the acceptance score is equal to or greater than the first user-defined threshold, automatically accepting the new event and scheduling the new event on the user's calendar.

Cognitive adaptation to user behavior for personalized automatic processing of events

A computer implemented method, computer usable recordable-type medium having a computer usable program code, and a data processing system provide a custom dictionary associated with an instant messaging contact. A chat window within an instant messaging application with the instant messaging contact is initially opened. The chat window is associated with the instant messaging contact. The instant messaging application then identifies whether the instant messaging contact is listed in a contact list. If the instant messaging contact is listed in a contact list of the instant messaging application, a default language dictionary that is associated with the instant messaging contact is loaded. The default language dictionary is one of a plurality of language dictionaries for languages that can be implemented within the instant messaging application. Further, if the instant messaging contact is listed in a contact list of the instant messaging application, a personal custom dictionary associated with the instant messaging contact is also loaded. The personal custom dictionary is unique to the instant messaging contact and is not shared with other instant messaging contacts.
