An aircraft control system including transducers connected by interface units to an avionics network, such as an AFDX network. Each transducer is directly connected to an interface unit local to the transducer. Each interface unit is a configurable unit and has a signal processing module converting data to a format suitable for transmission over the network. Each interface unit may be configurable, via software commands, to operate in an application session mode, a data-loading mode, or a maintenance mode. Each interface unit may be directly associated with one of the software applications of the aircraft control system. The network may include a lower bandwidth part where data communication is conducted over sampling ports only. Interface units may be configured or installed using a plug and play method.

Avionics networks

A communication network on board a vehicle is a deterministic switched Ethernet network using virtual links, including a set of subscriber devices and a set of switches in which communications are performed redundantly. To manage redundancy, each data frame transmitted on a virtual link includes a frame number in a numbering field of the frame. The transmitter and/or receiver subscriber devices on the virtual link take into account a length of the numbering field equal to a first predetermined length when the BAG value associated with the virtual link is greater than or equal to a predetermined BAG value, otherwise equal to a second predetermined length greater than the first length.

The subject matter disclosed herein relates to a frame switch of an AFDX network in which the data acquisition application is decentralized. When the switch has to acquire the data transmitted on a virtual link, the switching table contains, apart from the input port and the output port (s) taken by this link, an ID representing the MAC address of the switch. The frames of this link are then not only switched but also transmitted to the network interface of the switch and processed by a dedicated application (DDA), hosted inside the switch. This application can be interrogated by a remote server and transfer the data that it has stored locally.

The disclosure relates to reconfigurable avionics equipment, subscribed to an onboard network such as an AFDX&#xae; network. The subject matter disclosed herein relates an on-board network with nodes linked by wired links, the on-board network being partitioned into adjacent sub-networks, mutually segregated by security elements. Each sub-network can be equipped with access points allowing mobile terminals to connect to the sub-network by wireless links. The access points of adjacent sub-networks use different communication standards or distinct sets of transmission resources in such a way that the segregation between adjacent sub-networks is preserved.

Wireless partitioned on-board telecommunication network

The present invention concerns an AFDX network which is extended by a passive optical network or PON. The AFDX network comprises an AFDX switch to which are connected a plurality of equipments. The AFDX switch constitutes the optical line termination and said equipments constitute the optical network terminations of the PON. The PON broadcasts over the downlink, to all said equipments, every AFDX frame output by said AFDX switch. It also multiplexes over the uplink the AFDX frames transmitted by the same equipments. The invention also concerns an &#x3bc;AFDX network using a PON.

AFDX network with a passive optical network

A method of transmitting data over a network, from a sending application to a receiving application, including: coding the data, by the sending application, by implementing a predefined rule; detecting alteration of at least one item of data transmitted, by the receiving application, by implementing the predefined rule; and in case an alteration of a data item is detected, restoring the altered data item. In the course of the coding, in the course of the alteration detection, and in the course of the restoration, a cyclic redundancy check or an encryption can be implemented.

Method and device for protecting the integrity of data transmitted over a network

An aircraft communication system includes primary and secondary networks. The system also includes an interconnection gateway with a filtered interface connected to only one of the primary and secondary networks, and an unfiltered interface connected to the other network. The filtered interface includes first incoming and outgoing buffers, a memory, and a selector. The unfiltered interface includes second incoming and outgoing buffers. The second incoming buffer sends all frames received from the other network to the first outgoing buffer for distribution through the only one network. The selector selects common data frames corresponding to virtual link identifiers in a stored list and copies only the selected common data frames from the first incoming buffer to the second outgoing buffer of the unfiltered interface for distribution through the other one of the networks.

Aircraft communication system

A multiport passive optical signal sharing device enabling optical signals received by each of a first plurality of ports of the device to be transmitted to all of the ports of a second plurality of ports of the device.
