Embodiments are disclosed for facilitating quantum computing over classical and quantum communication channels. An example system includes a network interface card (NIC) apparatus. The NIC apparatus includes an optical receiver, an embedded processor, and a network switch. The optical receiver is configured to receive qubit data via a first communication channel associated with quantum communication. The embedded processor is configured to convert the qubit data into binary bit data. The network switch is configured to output the binary bit data via a second communication channel associated with classical network communication.

Network interface card for quantum computing over classical and quantum communication channels

A device receives a packet from a local network. The packet may be directed toward a cloud computing resource. The device determines that the packet is associated with a new packet flow. In response to determining that the packet is associated with the new packet flow, the device provides one or more packets from the new packet flow to a machine learning model for packet inspection. The device receives an output from the machine learning model and routes the new packet flow based on the output received from the machine learning model. The output indicates whether or not the new packet flow is associated with a network attack.

AI-supported network telemetry using data processing unit

A method and system for analyzing Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) on a wafer are provided. An illustrative method of is provided that includes: applying a stimulus to each of the plurality of VCSELs on the wafer; measuring, for each of the plurality of VCSELs, two or more VCSEL parameters responsive to the stimulus; correlating the measured two or more VCSEL parameters to define a value of a common performance characteristic; and identifying clusters of VCSELs having similar values of the common performance characteristic. The clusters of VCSELs may be determined to collectively meet or not meet an optical performance requirement defined for the VCSELs on the wafer.

Wafer level analysis for VCSEL screening

A method and system for large scale Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) binning from wafers to be compatible with a Clock-Data Recovery Unit (CDRU) and/or a VCSEL driver are provided. An illustrative method of binning is provided that includes: for at least a portion of VCSELs on a wafer, measuring a set of representative parameters of the VCSELs, of predetermined DC or small-signal values, and sorting the measured VCSELs into clusters according to the measured set of representative parameters of the VCSELs; further sorting the clusters into sub-groups that comply with specifications of the VCSEL driver; and providing a feedback signal to the CDRU for equalizing control signals provided to the VCSEL driver.

VCSEL binning for optical interconnects

A distributed computing network includes a quantum computation network and a processor. The quantum computation network includes one or more quantum processor units (QPUs) interconnected one with the other using quantum interconnects including each a quantum link and quantum network interface cards (QNICs), where each QPU is further connected to, using the QNIC, a quantum memory. The processor is configured to receive a quantum computation task, and, using a network interface card (NIC) (i) allocate the quantum computation task to the computation network, by activating any of the quantum interconnects between the QPUs according to the quantum computation task, and (ii) solve the quantum computation task using the quantum computation network.

Hybrid quantum computing network

A photonics frequency comb generator includes two integrated dies: an indium phosphide die laser of a first wavelength is grown on from, and a silicon photonics die having a microring resonator connected to the laser and frequency modulators. The microring resonator converts the first wavelength into a number of second wavelengths. One type of the microring resonator is a hybrid non-linear optical wavelength generator, comprising non-silicon materials, such as SiC or SiGe built on silicon to yield a non-linear wavelength generation. The second wavelengths are generated by adjusting the ring's geometric size and a distance between the ring and the traverse waveguide. Another type of microring resonator splits the first wavelength into a plurality of second wavelengths and transmits the multiple second wavelengths to filters and modulators, and each selects and modulates one of the second wavelengths in a one-to-one relationship. This frequency comb generator has applications in WDM/CWDM and multi-chip modules in high speed transceivers.

Heterogeneous integration of frequency comb generators for high-speed transceivers

Embodiments are disclosed for driving a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL). An example method includes injecting, via a universal driver, a direct current (DC) bias current to a VCSEL. The VCSEL is configured to convert the modulated signal into an optical signal encoding one or more bits. The example method further includes providing a modulated signal to the VCSEL. The modulated signal encodes a digital sequence comprising the one or more bits using a modulation method.

Software-defined transistor-like VCSEL-based communication system with a universal driver and associated method

Embodiments are disclosed for facilitating an end-to-end link channel with one or more lookup tables for equalization. An example system includes a first transceiver and a second transceiver. The first transceiver includes a clock data recovery (CDR) circuit configured to receive communication data from a switch and to manage a lookup table associated with equalization of the communication data. The first transceiver also includes a first driver circuit communicatively coupled to the CDR circuit and configured to generate an electrical signal associated with the communication data. The second transceiver includes a second driver circuit, communicatively coupled to the first transceiver, that is configured to receive the electrical signal from the first transceiver and to modulate a laser source based on the electrical signal to generate an optical signal via the laser source.

End-to-end link channel with lookup table(s) for equalization

Embodiments are disclosed for a lookup table-based coding mechanism for communication systems. An example method includes receiving a signal to be transmitted, converting the signal into a converted analog signal using a digital to analog converter, receiving channel state information for a channel, calibrating the lookup table based on the channel state information, utilizing the calibrated lookup table to generate a coded analog signal based on the converted signal, and transmitting the coded analog signal, wherein the coded signal compensates for channel distortion of the channel.
