Wrench systems, methods, and related apparatus are used for determining angular misalignment in wrenches that make up and/or break out tubular connections. The systems, methods, and related apparatus are used to continuously monitor for angular misalignment and automatically correct for angular misalignment. A wrench system includes a first clamp assembly, a second clamp assembly, and a positioning subsystem. The positioning subsystem includes one or more sensor tracks mounted to the first clamp assembly, and one or more position sensors mounted to the second clamp assembly. The one or more position sensors are configured to interface with the one or more sensor tracks to measure an angular position of the second clamp assembly relative to the first clamp assembly.

Wrench systems, methods, and related apparatus for determining angular misalignment

A system configured to predict and optimize operating life of a piece of drilling equipment includes a plurality of operating sensors coupled to a piece of drilling equipment, wherein each of the operating sensors is configured to measure an operating condition of the piece of drilling equipment. A control system in communication with the operating sensors is configured to calculate an operating life of the piece of equipment based on the operating conditions.

In one embodiment, a skate configured to engage a tubular while moving along a catwalk trough is provided. The skate comprises a frame having a drive system configured to move the tubular along the catwalk trough, a grip device coupled to the frame and configured to grip a pin end of the tubular, and a controller in communication with the drive system that controls movement of the frame based on movement of a box end of the tubular.

A drilling equipment tracking system includes a piece of drilling equipment and a traceability tag coupled to the piece of drilling equipment. The traceability tag has a unique identifier. Methods and systems for tracking drilling equipment

In one embodiment, a traverse system configured to move a catwalk relative to a beam, is provided. The system includes a body, an upper brake pad coupled to the body and configured to contact a side of a flange of the beam and a lower brake pad coupled to the body and configured to contact an opposing side of the flange, and an actuator coupled to at least one of the brake pads and configured to move the brake pads between a gripping position that grips the flange and an open position that spaces one of the brake pads away from the flange.
