Systems and methods for content-based light illuminations are disclosed. For example, a user interface may be utilized to receive and/or determine a configuration of a light array associated with a connected device. The configuration may be utilized to generate a visual representation of the light array, which may be overlaid on a display window that is configured to display content to be utilized for generating light illumination sequences. Color changes associated with each light representation of the visual representation may be determined based at least in part on the positioning and area of the display window associated with the light representations, and corresponding illumination data may be generated and sent to the connected device.

Content-based light illumination

Technology is described for providing preconfigured device representations in a service provider environment. A plurality of device representation parameters may be received for a device via a user account. A preconfigured device representation may be created for the device using the plurality of device representation parameters. The preconfigured device representation may be associated with the user account. The device may be registered with the service provider environment. A registration of the device may be performed when the device initially connects to the service provider environment. The registration may assign a device identifier to the device and may associate the user account with the device. The preconfigured device representation may be provided to the device after the registration of the device is completed.

Preconfigured device representations

Systems and methods for button arrangement and action assignment are disclosed. One or more buttons and, in examples, a connector may be arranged in various ways. The buttons may be associated with one or more actions to be performed by the buttons and/or a device associated with the buttons based at least in part on the arrangement of the buttons. The buttons may be interchangeable and may allow for performance of various functionalities associated with multiple electronic devices.

Device arrangement and action assignment

This disclosure describes systems, devices, and techniques for causing an accessory device to present predefined lighting sequences. In some instances, the accessory device is a battery-powered device that includes a wireless radio, an actuatable button, and one or more lighting elements. The accessory device may receive a lighting-sequence schema specifying how to illuminate the lighting elements as well as trigger event upon which to present the lighting sequence. The accessory device may store the received schema and, upon identifying the specified trigger event, may present the corresponding lighting sequence on the lighting elements.
