The present disclosure relates to a method for total isotropic sensitivity, TIS, testing of a user equipment, UE. The method includes forwarding a first test signal towards the UE, wherein the first test signal is forwarded from a number of spherical coordinates around the UE; recording a respective RSS value; forwarding a second test signal towards the UE from the spherical coordinate; recording further RSS values for each of the different power levels of the second rest signal; calculating a linearization pattern which relates the further RSS values to the corresponding power levels of the second test signal; calculating a combined RSS value based on the RSS values recorded by the n receiver branches at the spherical coordinate in response to the first test signal; determining an equivalent isotropic sensitivity, EIS, value of the UE for the spherical coordinate; and calculating a EIS value for additional spherical coordinate(s).

Method for total isotropic sensitivity testing of a user equipment

A method for performing active over-the-air measurements of a device under test with an antenna is described. The device under test with the antenna is provided. The device under test is arranged randomly in a measurement zone assigned to a measurement antenna. The phase center of the antenna of the device under test is determined. Measurement positions for the active over-the-air measurements are calculated that depend on an offset between the phase center determined and a center of the measurement zone. Further, a measurement system for over-the-air measurements is described.

Method for performing a radiated two-stage method measurement as well as measurement setup

A testing method for testing mobile communication devices comprises measuring a three-dimensional antenna pattern of an active phased antenna array (AAS) of the mobile communication device, with the AAS being maintained at a specific beamforming alignment during the measurement. A predefined base fading profile is calibrated with the measured three-dimensional antenna pattern to obtain an optimized fading profile adapted to the specific beamforming alignment. A channel model for emulation of a base station is emulated on the basis of the optimized fading profile. The method further involves performing a receiver test on the mobile communication device using the emulated channel model. The testing method may in some embodiments be a radiated two-stage over-the-air (RTS-OTA) testing method.
