Provided is a drivetrain assembly including a rotor shaft; a bearing unit mounted about the rotor shaft; and a further drivetrain component connected to an end of the rotor shaft, wherein an annular face of the further drivetrain component is arranged opposite an annular face of the bearing unit with a distance between the annular faces. The drivetrain assembly is characterized by an annular arrangement of tapped holes formed in a first of the two opposing annular faces; a plurality of bolts, wherein each bolt includes a bolt shaft threaded into a tapped hole, a lock nut threaded onto the bolt shaft and tightened against the first annular face; and a bolt head arranged to make contact with the second of the two opposing annular faces. Also provided is a wind turbine including a such a drivetrain assembly; and a method of assembling such a drivetrain.

Drivetrain assembly

Provided is a wind turbine including: a tower, a nacelle mounted on the tower, an electrical generator housed in the nacelle, a wind rotor rotatably coupled to the nacelle for rotating about a rotational axis and having at least one rotatable blade, two rotating shafts for connecting the wind rotor to the electrical generator, a shaft connector for rigidly connecting the two rotating shafts. The shaft connector includes: a hollow body, at least an inner flange protruding from the hollow body towards an axis of rotation of the shaft connector, the inner flange being connectable to one of the two rotating shafts, at least one hole provided on the hollow body for accessing the inner flange.

Shaft-to-shaft connector for a wind turbine

A drive train for an electric machine is provided. The drive train includes a shaft. The shaft has a front end and a rear end and which is supported in a housing via a front bearing and a rear bearing, wherein the front bearing including a front bearing outer ring and a front bearing inner ring, and the rear bearing including a rear bearing outer ring and a rear bearing inner ring). The drive train includes a first cover mounted to the housing and being configured to seal a rear side of the front bearing, wherein the first cover is mounted to the housing by an auxiliary support which connects the first cover to the housing, a second cover mounted to the housing and being configured to seal a front side of the rear bearing, a third cover mounted to the housing and being configured to seal the rear bearing.
