An image recording/reproducing apparatus and a control method thereof to provide the functions of recording image files in a recording medium and reproducing and editing the image files recorded in the recording medium. The apparatus and method enables a user to easily select and manipulate functions of the apparatus using a menu display, and can record, reproduce and edit the image files according to the function selected by the user. The apparatus and method, therefore allows the user to easily select and manipulate the functions using a displayed menu, and more efficiently manage and easily search for the recorded image files.

Image recording/reproducing apparatus and control method thereof

An apparatus and method are disclosed for setting scheduled recording of a plurality of standard broadcast signals received by a multi-tuner system on a single integrated scheduled recording setup graphical user interface (GUI) screen. The apparatus comprises a multi-tuner receiver for receiving a plurality of broadcast signals complying with different standards, a timer unit for providing timer information necessary for a plurality of tuners and scheduled recording of channels available in the tuners, and a graphic user interface (GUI) engine for integrally displaying information regarding tuners available for scheduled recording and channels available in the available tuners on a single screen in response to a user's input. The method comprises displaying an integrated scheduled recording setup graphic user interface (GUI) screen that provides respective fields for displaying a selected tuner, a selected channel available in the selected tuner at one time, and setting a scheduled recording by facilitating the inputting of necessary information for scheduled recordings by different tuners. Timer information necessary for scheduled recording is used in common on the integrated scheduled recording setup GUI screen regardless tuner type.

Apparatus and method for integrated scheduled recording in multi-tuner system

The present invention lists and displays file information for each folder when reproducing video/audio files stored to a recording medium, performs a grouping for entire files on a folder for each folder according to a maximum number of files possibly displayed on one screen, performs a page numbering sequentially for the files for each group, then displays the files on a screen in a page unit for which a grouping has been performed upon a playlist display request. Therefore, a user can reach a desired file to manage in an easy and swift manner.

A contents downloading system and a method thereof. According to the system, when a media device is connected to a detachable user terminal device, a device identifier is transmitted to the user terminal device from the media device. The user terminal device then transmits the device identifier to a server device that provides contents corresponding to the device identifier, and the server device transmits the contents selected based on the device identifier and an environment to download configured by a user. Since the media device is automatically connected to a specific website providing every kind of contents necessary for each media device based on the device identifier of the media device, the user can download the contents more conveniently without driving a web browser or selecting contents to be downloaded.
