Provided is a method for selective extraction of steroid compounds using entrapped &#x3b2;-cyclodextrin polymers. Particularly, steroid hormones can be effectively selected from a biological sample by selectively extracting steroid compounds using entrapped &#x3b2;-cyclodextrin polymers, prepared by adding epichlorohydrin to &#x3b2;-cyclodextrin to prepare a polymer in a gel state, entrapping the polymer and pulverizing the products without using an additional device required in conventional solid-phase extraction.

Solid-phase extraction method of steroid hormones by entrapped &#x3b2;-cyclodextrin polymers

Provided are entrapped &#x3b2;-cyclodextrin polymers and a method of preparing the same. Particularly, entrapped &#x3b2;-cyclodextrin polymers are prepared by adding epichlorohydrin to &#x3b2;-cyclodextrin to prepare a polymer in a gel state, entrapping the polymer by entrapment of metal ions on the surface of the polymer and pulverizing the entrapped polymer to prepare powders. According to the entrapped &#x3b2;-cyclodextrin polymers, steroid hormones contained in a biological sample can be simply extracted without using an additional device required in conventional solid-phase extraction.
