A receive (Rx) UE performs blind detection to decode a first-stage Sidelink Control Information (SCI) in a received signal. The first-stage SCI contains control information for the Rx UE to locate time-and-frequency resources used by a transmit (Tx) UE. The time-and-frequency resources are used to transmit the first-stage SCI and a second-stage SCI via a Physical Sidelink Control Channel (PSCCH) and to transmit data via a Physical Sidelink Shared Channel (PSSCH) associated with the PSCCH. The Rx UE locates the second-stage SCI in the time-and-frequency resources based on the first-stage SCI. The second-stage SCI contains additional control information from the Tx UE to the Rx UE for the sidelink V2X communication. The Rx UE decodes the second-stage SCI using at least in part an identifier which identifies the Rx UE as a destination of the received signal.

Two-stage design for new radio (NR) sidelink control information (SCI)

A method of two-stage sidelink control information (SCI) for sidelink transmission is described. In one novel aspect, the SCI is transmitted from a transmission UE (Tx UE) to a reception UE (Rx UE) in two stages. In one embodiment, the 1st-stage SCI carries information related to channel sensing, and is transmitted over a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH). The 2nd-stage SCI is transmitted over a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) associated with the PSCCH. In one embodiment, the first-stage SCI includes priority information or information of time-frequency resources for the SL transmission. In another embodiment, the first-stage SCI indicates time-frequency location of the second-stage SCI.

Two-stage physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) for sidelink communications

For sidelink vehicle-to-everything (V2X) transmission, a first user equipment (UE) obtains time-and-frequency resources that are bounded by two subchannel boundaries and two slot boundaries. The first UE transmits encoded control information to a second UE in a Physical Sidelink Control Channel (PSCCH) that occupies a first portion of the time-and-frequency resources starting from a lowest resource block (RB) in a lowest subchannel and from an earliest symbol available for sidelink control and data transmission. The first UE further transmits encoded data to the second UE in a Physical Sidelink Shared Channel (PSSCH) that occupies a second portion of the time-frequency resources. The second portion includes (a) a first set of RBs in the same symbols as the PSCCH and not used by the PSCCH, and (b) a second set of RBs in symbols not used by the PSCCH.

Multiplexing of physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) and physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH)

Various examples and schemes pertaining to sidelink resource allocation for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) in New Radio (NR) mobile communications are described. An apparatus implemented in a first user equipment (UE) receives a first signaling from a network node of a wireless network, with the first signaling configuring a first sidelink resource for a sidelink between the first UE and a second UE. The apparatus transmits a packet or transport block (TB) to the second UE on the sidelink using the configured first sidelink resource. The apparatus also receives a second signaling from the network node responsive to the second UE failing to decode the packet or TB, with the second signaling dynamically configuring a second sidelink resource for the sidelink. The apparatus then retransmits the packet or TB to the second UE on the sidelink using the dynamically configured second sidelink resource.

Method and apparatus of sidelink resource allocation for V2X in new radio mobile communications

Various examples and schemes pertaining to on-demand network configuration of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) user equipment (UE) autonomy in New Radio (NR) mobile communications are described. An apparatus implemented in a first user equipment (UE) receives a signaling from a network node of a wireless network. Based on the signaling, the apparatus operates simultaneously in a network-controlled mode and an autonomous mode such that: (a) the first UE operates in the network-controlled mode with respect to resource allocation on a first sidelink with a second UE, and (b) the first UE operates in the autonomous mode with respect to resource allocation on a second sidelink with the second UE or a third UE.

On-demand network configuration of V2X UE autonomy in new radio mobile communications

Sidelink vehicle-to-everything (V2X) transmission is performed over a Physical Sidelink Control Channel (PSCCH) and a Physical Sidelink Shared Channel (PSSCH). Encoded control information is transmitted in the PSCCH and encoded data is transmitted in the PSSCH. The PSCCH uses a first portion of the time-and-frequency resources, and the PSSCH uses and a second portion of the time-and-frequency resources. A first part of the PSSCH uses a first set of time resources overlapping with the PSCCH and a first set of frequency resources non-overlapping with the PSCCH. A second part of the PSSCH uses a second set of time resources non-overlapping with the PSCCH and a second set of frequency resources overlapping with the PSCCH.

Various solutions for resource selection of multiple transmission occasions in new radio (NR) sidelink communications with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may select a first transmission resource from a resource selection window. The apparatus may determine a maximum time gap and a minimum time gap. The apparatus may select a second transmission resource according to the maximum time gap and the minimum time gap. The apparatus may inform the first transmission resource and the second transmission resource to a peer apparatus.

Method and apparatus for resource selection of multiple transmission occasions in new radio sidelink communications

Various examples and schemes pertaining to resource allocation in presence of in-band emission (IBE) for New Radio (NR) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) mobile communications are described. An apparatus implemented in a user equipment (UE) identifies a first resource of a plurality of resources used by another UE in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication environment. The apparatus selects a second resource of the plurality of resources adjacent to the first resource. Then, the apparatus performs transmission in the second resource.

Resource allocation in presence of in-band emission for NR V2X mobile communications

A method of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback can include receiving data transmitted from a transmission (Tx) user equipment (UE) or a base station (BS) over a channel at a reception (Rx) UE, selecting an acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (A/N) resource from a set of A/N resources for a HARQ feedback of the data based on a channel condition of the channel or a geographical location of the Rx UE, and transmitting the HARQ feedback with the selected A/N resource.

Configuration and selection of HARQ feedback resources in a wireless communication system

Various solutions for multiple active bandwidth parts (BWPs) operation with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may receive a configuration of a plurality of BWPs. The apparatus may determine whether a restriction is configured. The apparatus may activate the plurality of BWPs on a same carrier according to the restriction. The apparatus may perform a transmission or reception on at least one of a plurality of activated BWPs.

Method and apparatus for multiple bandwidth parts operation in mobile communications

Various novel concepts and schemes pertaining to non-orthogonal multiple access for wireless communications are described. A group orthogonal coded access (GOCA) scheme is introduced to reduce multi-user interference (MUI) and improve performance. A repetition division multiple access (RDMA) scheme is introduced to differentiate user equipment (UEs) by different repetition patterns. A low-density spreading (LDS) scheme is introduced to reduce MUI and improve performance.

Non-orthogonal multiple access wireless communications methods and apparatus thereof

Aspects of the disclosure provide an apparatus that includes transmitting circuit and processing circuit. The transmitting circuitry is configured to transmit wireless signals. The processing circuitry is configured to encode a set of information bits with a code that is configured for incremental redundancy to generate a code word that includes the information bits and parity bits, buffer the code word in a circular buffer, determine a start position in the circular buffer based on a redundancy version that is selected from a plurality of redundancy versions based on a scenario evaluation of a previous transmission associated with the set of information bits, and transmit, via the transmitting circuitry, a selected portion of the code word from the start position.

Method and apparatus for communication

Concepts and schemes pertaining to location of interleaver with low-density parity-check (LDPC) code are described. A processor of an apparatus encodes data to provide a stream of encoded data. The processor also rate matches the encoded data to provide a rate-matched stream of encoded data. The processor further interleaving the rate-matched stream of encoded data. In rate matching the encoded data, the processor buffers the stream of encoded data in a circular buffer, with the circular buffer functioning as a rate matching block that rate matches the stream of encoded data. In interleaving the rate-matched stream of encoded data, the processor performs bit-level interleaving on the rate-matched stream of encoded data to provide a stream of interleaved data.

Various examples and schemes pertaining to methods and apparatus of a New Radio (NR) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) cluster head are described. An apparatus implemented as a source user equipment (UE) determines whether there is a need to either join a cluster or become a cluster head in an NR V2X communication environment. The apparatus also detects whether there is any existing cluster head in the NR V2X communication environment responsive to determining that there is the need. The apparatus then determines whether to join a first cluster associated with a first cluster head responsive to the first cluster head being detected as an existing cluster head in the NR V2X communication environment.

Method and apparatus of new radio V2X cluster head

Apparatus and methods are provided for RE allocation for UCI on PUSCH. In one novel aspect, the UE encodes UCI for transmission on PUSCH in a NR network. The UE allocates UCI REs onto the PUSCH following one or more UCI RE allocation rules including (a) using same logical allocation patterns for both CP-OFDM waveforms and DFT-S-OFDM waveforms, (b) distributing the UCI REs across a time domain of the PUSCH, and (c) distributing the UCI REs across a frequency domain for CP-OFDM or across a virtual-time domain for DFT-S-OFDM. In one embodiment, the HARQ-ACK REs are distributed across the time domain as much as possible. In another embodiment, the allocation of the HARQ-ACK REs further involves calculating the number of HARQ REs dynamically for the HARQ ACK. The number of HARQ REs is based on a weighting parameter, which is either configured or obtained through system information.
