An organic light emitting diode display includes: a substrate; an overlapping layer on the substrate; a pixel on the substrate and the overlapping layer; and a scan line, a data line, a driving voltage line, and an initialization voltage line that are connected to the pixel. The pixel includes: an organic light emitting diode; a second transistor connected to the scan line and the data line; a driving transistor including a gate electrode, an input terminal, and an output terminal, and to apply a current to the organic light emitting diode from the output terminal; and a voltage application transistor to apply a voltage to the overlapping layer. An output of the second transistor is connected to the input terminal of the driving transistor, and the overlapping layer is between the driving transistor and the substrate while overlapping with the driving transistor on a plane.

Organic light emitting diode display device

A display device includes a plurality of pixels. Each pixel includes a first transistor including a first gate electrode, a first source region, and a first drain region, a second transistor connected to the first source region of the first transistor, a third transistor connected to the first gate electrode and the first drain region of the first transistor, a fifth transistor connected to the first source region of the first transistor, and a sixth transistor connected to the first drain region of the first transistor. The pixels include a first pixel and a second pixel disposed adjacent to each other. The first and second pixels share a fourth transistor connected to the third transistor of the first pixel and the third transistor of the second pixel, and share a seventh transistor connected to the sixth transistor of the first pixel and the sixth transistor of the second pixel.

A pixel circuit includes: a driving switching element; a data initializer to initialize a voltage of a control electrode of the driving switching element; a data writer to write a data voltage to the driving switching element; an organic light emitting element; an organic light emitting element initializer to initialize an anode electrode of the organic light emitting element to a second initialization voltage based on an organic light emitting element initialization gate signal; and a light emitting controller to control an emission of the organic light emitting element. The organic light emitting element initializer includes: a control electrode to receive the organic light emitting element initialization gate signal; an input electrode to receive the second initialization voltage; an output electrode connected to the anode electrode; and a conductive layer to receive a compensation control signal that is different from the organic light emitting element initialization gate signal.

A pixel circuit includes an OLED, a first transistor including a gate electrode connected to a first node and an electrode connected to a third node, a capacitor including a first electrode for receiving a power supply voltage and a second electrode connected to the first node, a third transistor including a gate electrode for receiving a first gate signal, a first electrode connected to the first node, and a second electrode connected to the third node, a fourth transistor including a gate electrode for receiving a second gate signal, a first electrode connected to the first node, and a second electrode and a second gate electrode for receiving a first initialization voltage, and a seventh transistor including a gate electrode for receiving a third gate signal, a first electrode for receiving a second initialization voltage, and a second electrode connected to an anode electrode of the OLED.

Pixel circuit and display device including the same

A method of manufacturing a display apparatus includes: forming first patterns of a semiconductor material on a base layer; forming a first insulating layer covering the first patterns; forming second patterns of a conductive material on the first insulating layer; removing at least a portion of at least one of the second patterns; and forming a second insulating layer on the second patterns. Each of the second patterns includes a first layer and a second layer disposed on the first layer, the first patterns include a semiconductor pattern, the second patterns include a control electrode pattern overlapping with the semiconductor pattern in a plan view and a sensing electrode pattern, the second layer of the control electrode pattern fully covers the first layer of the control electrode pattern, and the second layer of the sensing electrode pattern is partially removed in the removing of the at least a portion to partially cover the first layer of the sensing electrode pattern.

Display apparatus and method of manufacturing the same

A display apparatus includes a display panel, a thin film transistor including a control electrode disposed on a surface of the display panel, a semiconductor pattern overlapping with the control electrode in a plan view, an input electrode connected to a portion of the semiconductor pattern, and an output electrode connected to another portion of the semiconductor pattern, a first insulating layer disposed between the control electrode and the semiconductor pattern, a second insulating layer covering the input electrode and the output electrode, and a sensing electrode disposed between the display panel and the second insulating layer.

Display device including shared transistors among pixels

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display is disclosed. In one aspect, the OLED display includes a substrate and an active pattern formed over the substrate. The OLED display also includes first and second gate electrodes formed over the active pattern. The first gate electrode defines a first transistor together with the active pattern. The second gate electrode defines a second transistor and a third transistor together with the active pattern. The OLED display further includes a first conductive pattern formed over the first and second gate electrodes. The first conductive pattern overlaps at least a portion of the second and/or third transistors so as to define a parasitic capacitor.

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display is disclosed. In one aspect, the OLED display includes a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels includes a first insulating layer and first and second signal lines spaced apart from each other. At least a portion of the first and second signal lines is formed over the first insulating layer. Each pixel also includes a second insulating layer interposed between the first and second signal lines. The second insulating layer has a lower permittivity that the first insulating layer.

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display includes a scan line, a data line, a driving voltage line, a switching transistor, a driving transistor and an OLED. The scan line is formed on a substrate to transmit a scan signal. The data line and the driving voltage line, intersecting the scan line, transmit a data signal and a driving voltage, respectively. The switching transistor, electrically coupled to the scan line and the data line, includes a switching semiconductor layer, a switching gate electrode, and a gate insulating layer having a first thickness. The driving transistor, electrically coupled to the switching drain electrode, includes a driving semiconductor layer, a driving gate electrode and a gate insulating layer having a second thickness.
