Disclosed are lens assembly including a lens having a length in a first direction, perpendicular to an optical axis, shorter than a length in a second direction, perpendicular to both the optical axis and the first direction, on a plane perpendicular to the optical axis, and a lens barrel accommodating the lens, and having an opening in a side of the lens barrel, wherein a side of the lens in the first direction is exposed through the opening.

The fifth lens has a positive refractive power, a focal length of the fifth lens is smaller than an overall focal length of the optical imaging system, and −0.38≤R10/f≤−0.32, where R10 is a radius of curvature of an image-side surface of the fifth lens and f is the overall focal length of the optical imaging system.

A camera module includes a first lens module having a first lens barrel accommodating a first lens group, and a second lens module spaced apart from the first lens module in an optical axis direction, configured to be moveable in the optical axis direction, and having a second lens barrel accommodating a second lens group, the first lens barrel includes a first through-hole on one side and a first opening on the other side, the second lens barrel includes a second opening opposing the first opening on one side and a second through-hole on the other side, a diameter of the first opening is greater than a diameter of the first through-hole, and a diameter of the second opening is greater than a diameter of the second through-hole, and a light shielding member is disposed at one or more of the first opening and the second opening.

A spacer includes an outer circumferential surface in contact with a lens barrel, and an inner circumferential surface forming a hole for controlling an amount of light, a first length of the hole in a first direction, intersecting an optical axis, and a second length of the hole in a second direction, intersecting the optical axis, are different from each other, and a first distance from the outer circumferential surface to the inner circumferential surface, extended in the first direction, is less than a second distance from the outer circumferential surface to the inner circumferential surface, extended in the second direction.

Lens and lens assembly including the same

A lens assembly includes a lens including an optical portion to refract light and a flange portion extended along a periphery of at least a portion of the optical portion, and a lens barrel to accommodate the lens. The flange portion has a non-circular shape and includes a first di-cut portion on a first side surface of the flange portion, a second di-cut portion on a second side surface of the flange portion, and arc portions connecting the first di-cut portion and the second di-cut portion. A first distance between the first di-cut portion and an optical axis of the lens and a second distance between the second di-cut portion and the optical axis of the lens are smaller than a distance between respective opposite ends of the arc portions and the optical axis.

A camera module includes a barrel defining a hole to receive light reflected from a subject, and defining a lens accommodation space to accommodate a plurality of lenses, a front lens accommodated in the lens accommodation space and disposed closest to the subject, a rear lens accommodated in the lens accommodation space and disposed closest to an imaging plane, and an intermediate lens disposed between the front lens and the rear lens. An inlet is defined in a side surface of the barrel, the inlet is connected to the lens accommodation space, and an adhesive bonding the intermediate lens to the barrel is disposed in the inlet.

A lens assembly includes a lens including an optical portion refracting light and a flange portion extending along a portion of a circumference of the optical portion, a blocking member disposed in front of the lens and having an opening to allow light to be incident on the lens, and a lens barrel accommodating the lens. The optical portion is noncircular and a portion of the blocking member facing the optical portion in an optical axis direction is located to be higher than a portion of the blocking member facing the flange portion in the optical axis direction.
