The present invention discloses a display panel and a display device. The display panel comprises a plurality of common electrode blocks and a plurality of display regions. During a display period, one or more common electrode blocks corresponding to one of the display regions which is to be displayed during the display period are coupled to a common voltage; and during the display period, one or more of the common electrode blocks corresponding to the display regions which are not to be displayed during the display period are kept in a floating state.

Display panel, display device and driving method

The present disclosure provides a method for a display driver system and a display driver system. The method comprises: the control circuit transmitting a global signal and a first signal for a LED driver circuit in each stage to a first-stage LED driver circuit, wherein the global signal includes an command for indicating an operation mode of the LED driver circuit in each stage; the LED driver circuit in each stage determining the operation mode corresponding to the command according to the global signal, identifying a corresponding first signal of the LED driver circuit in the stage, and operating according to the determined operation mode and the corresponding first signal; and the LED driver circuit in each stage except for last stage transmitting the global signal to the LED driver circuit in its next stage, and in response to a completion of operation according to the determined operation mode and the corresponding first signal, transmitting the first signal for the LED driver circuit in each of sequential stages to the LED driver circuit in its next stage.

A display apparatus and a method for noise reduction are introduced. The method comprises steps of sensing a first pixel signal being superimposed by noises from a first pixel through a first sensing line in a first phase of a sensing operation and sensing a first noise signal from the first sensing line in a second phase of the sensing operation. The method further comprises steps of sensing a second noise signal from a second sensing line in the first phase of the sensing operation, and sensing a third noise signal from the second sensing line in the second phase of the sensing operation. The method further removes the noises that are superimposed to the first pixel signal according to a difference between the first pixel signal and the first noise signal and a difference between the second noise signal and the third noise signal to generate a denoised sensing value of the first pixel.

A display driver and a display driving method are provided. The display driving is adapted for driving a display panel and sensing an electrical characteristic of the display panel. The display driver includes a first amplifier circuit. The first amplifier circuit is coupled to the display panel. The first amplifier circuit includes a first driving circuit, a first sensing circuit and a first operational amplifier. The first operational amplifier is coupled to the display panel through a first driving line and a first sensing line. The first driving circuit is configured to provide a first driving signal to the display panel through the first operational amplifier and the first driving line during a driving period. The first sensing circuit is configured to receive a first sensing signal from the display panel through the first operational amplifier and the first sensing line during a first sensing period.

Display driver and display driving method

The present invention provides an output circuit with electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection in a semiconductor chip of a source driver. The source driver is configured to drive a display panel. The output circuit includes an output buffer, an output pad, a switch and a first resistor. The switch is coupled between the output buffer and the output pad, wherein data voltages for driving the display panel are transmitted from the output buffer to the output pad via the switch. The switch includes a first metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistor, which includes a first terminal coupled to the output pad, a bulk terminal and a gate terminal. The first resistor is coupled between the bulk terminal of the first MOS transistor and a first power supply terminal.

Output circuit with ESD protection

An amplifier circuit including an input amplifier, an output amplifier and a diode device is provided. The output amplifier includes a PMOSFET and an NMOSFET. The PMOSFET has a gate electrode serving as a first input end and a drain coupled to an output end. The NMOSFET has a gate electrode serving as a second input end and a drain coupled to the output end. The output amplifier outputs an output voltage at the output end, and is coupled to the input amplifier via at least one of the first and second input ends. The diode device is coupled between the output end and the at least one of the first and second input ends of the output amplifier. When a voltage difference between the output end and the at least one of the first and second input ends of the output amplifier is greater than a barrier voltage of the diode device, the diode device is turned on, and an overshoot of the output voltage is reduced.

A source driver and a calibration method thereof are provided. The source driver for driving and sensing a display panel of the disclosure includes a sensing circuit, an analog-to-digital converter circuit and a digital arithmetic circuit. The sensing circuit is configured to receive a reference signal through a sensing channel when the source driver is operated in a calibration mode. The analog-to-digital converter circuit is coupled to the sensing circuit, and configured to convert the reference signal to a digital reference signal. The digital arithmetic circuit is coupled to the analog-to-digital converter circuit, and configured to obtain a calibration parameter according to the digital reference signal. The source driver calibrates a sensing path for sensing a display panel according to the calibration parameter when the source driver is operated in a sensing mode.

Source driver for driving and sensing display panel and calibration method thereof

A driver circuit configured to receive a display data and drive a display panel is provided. The display panel includes a plurality of light-emitting diode devices according to the display data. The driver circuit includes a data driver. The data driver is configured to output driving signals to drive the light-emitting diode devices according to the display data and operate in different operation modes according to a control signal. The data driver includes a plurality of output channels. The output channels output the driving signals to drive the light-emitting diode devices via respective output terminals of the driver circuit. An assignment relationship of the display data and the output channels is different in the different operation modes. A display apparatus including the driver circuit is also provided.
