An organic light emitting diode display with improved aperture ratio includes: a substrate; first and second pixels disposed in a first row of the substrate and third and fourth pixels disposed in a second row adjacent to the first row and respectively disposed in the same columns as the first and second pixels; a scan line and a previous scan line applying a scan signal and a previous scan signal, respectively, to the pixel units; a data line and a driving voltage line applying a data signal and a driving voltage, respectively, to the pixel units; and a common initialization voltage line disposed between the first and second pixels and between the third and fourth pixels, commonly connected to the pixel units, and applying an initialization voltage. One common initialization contact hole connected to all pixels units and one initialization voltage line connected to the common initialization contact hole are surrounded by the pixel units.

There is provided a display device including a display panel including a first display area and a second display area that include a plurality of pixels, a scan driver configured to provide a scan signal to the pixels, the scan driver being at least partially between the first display area and the second display area, a data driver configured to provide a data signal to the pixels, an emission controller configured to provide an emission control signal to the pixels, the emission controller being at a side of the first display area and at a side of the second display area, and a timing controller configured to generate a control signal that controls the scan driver, the data driver, and the emission controller.

Display device and electronic device having the same

A display panel includes a substrate including a display area, a peripheral area and a buffer area disposed between the display area and the peripheral area. The display panel further includes a switching element disposed in the display area. The switching element includes an active pattern, a gate electrode overlapping the active pattern, a source electrode connecting with the active pattern, and a drain electrode spaced apart from the source electrode. The display panel further includes a power supply line disposed in the peripheral area and disposed on a same layer as the source electrode and the drain electrode. The display panel additionally includes a power connecting line disposed in the buffer area and connecting the switching element to the power supply line. The display panel further includes a dummy active pattern disposed in the buffer area and overlapping the power connecting line.
