A method for producing a patterned stainless steel sheet with improved visual characteristics in the wavelength area of visible light including providing a deformed stainless steel sheet; performing a heat treatment on the deformed stainless steel sheet, wherein the heat treatment is conducted at a temperature of 900-1200&#xb0; C.; performing a mechanical treatment on at least one surface of the heat treated stainless steel sheet; transferring the mechanically treated stainless steel sheet to a patterning process, wherein, in the patterning process, at least one side of the mechanically treated stainless steel sheet is patterned using a patterning roll having a surface with an emboss depth of up to 100 micrometers to provide a patterned stainless steel sheet; and performing a heat treatment on the patterned stainless steel sheet, wherein the heat treatment is conducted at a temperature range of 900-1200&#xb0; C., wherein the mechanical treatment is carried out by blasting.

Method for producing a stainless steel sheet with modified visual characteristics

The invention relates to a method for producing a patterned stainless steel sheet with modified visual characteristics in the wavelength area of visible light the deformed stainless steel having a thickness of 0.3-3.5 mm. In the method the deformed stainless steel sheet is pretreated by at least one heat treatment step and at least one mechanical treatment step on at least one surface of the heat treated stainless steel sheet. The pretreated stainless steel sheet is further transferred to a patterning process, and at least one heat treatment step is carried out on the patterned stainless steel sheet surface.

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing profiled metal strips ('), in which a metal strip (&#x2032;) with predefinable material thickness consisting, in particular, of stainless steel is wound up on a coil () and guided through a rolling stand (W-W) containing several rolls (&#x2032;), wherein at least the rolls () that effectively interact with the metal strip (&#x2032;) are provided with a predefinable topography (), by means of which profiles with profile depths &#x3e;250 &#x3bc;m can be produced on both sides of the metal strip (&#x2032;) depending on the geometry of the topography () of the rolls (), and wherein the metal strip (&#x2032;) is subsequent to its profiling wound up on a coil () and, if so required, subjected to a thermal post-treatment.
