The application relates to a pump, in particular blood pump. The pump comprises a drive shaft () which runs in an axial direction, a delivery element () which is connected to the drive shaft () in a distal region of this, and a housing () which surrounds the delivery element (). The delivery element () and the housing () are designed in a manner such that these automatically unfold after a forced compression. The housing () moreover comprises an inlet region () with at least one inlet opening (), a fluid-tight region () which surrounds a region of the delivery element (), and an outlet region () with at least one opening () for the exit of the pump medium. The delivery element () is arranged in a manner such that it projects into the outlet region ().

Pump, in particular a blood pump

An intravascular blood pump has an intake filter that reduces risk of heart tissue being sucked into an intake port of the pump. The filter defines a plurality of apertures, through which blood flows through the filter. The apertures are sized to prevent ingestion, by the input port, of the heart tissue. The filter includes a plurality of generally helical first struts wound about a longitudinal axis of the filter, and a plurality of second struts. The first and second struts collectively define the plurality of apertures therebetween. The struts may be woven filaments, or the apertures may be defined in a thin film (foil) tube, where remaining material between the apertures form the struts.

Intravascular blood pump with intake filter

The invention relates to a blood pump. The blood pump comprises a flexible drive shaft () guided in a catheter, a conveying element () connected to the drive shaft () in a distal region of the drive shaft (), and a motor (), wherein the motor () has a stator () and a rotor () mounted such that it can move in the stator (). The stator () comprises a winding () and the rotor () comprises a rotor magnet (). In addition, the drive shaft () is connected to the rotor () at a proximal end of the drive shaft (). The stator () and the rotor () are nondetachably connected to one another, and form a gap () with a ring-shaped cross-section, which is delimited by the rotor () and the stator ().

Blood pump

The application relates to an external drive unit () for an implantable heart assist pump. The proposed drive unit () comprises a motor () for driving the heart assist pump, wherein the motor () is connectable to the heart assist pump via a transcutaneous drive shaft (). The drive unit () further comprises a heat spreader () comprising a contact surface configured to contact and/or directly contact and/or lie flat against a skin of a patient. The contact surface is connected or connectable with the motor () in a thermally-conductive manner to transfer heat generated by the motor () to tissue of the patient.
