A method and a device process a motor signal of a direct current motor, in particular of an adjustment drive of a motor vehicle. The armature current and the motor voltage of the direct current motor are detected and used for determining the counter induction voltage of the direct current motor, by which a number of control signals having different ripple frequencies for controllable frequency filters are generated. The current ripples that are generated in a frequency dependent manner by the frequency filters, to which a filter input signal derived from the armature current and the motor voltage is applied, are synchronized with each other in the course of the ripple count.

Method and device for processing a motor signal

In order to process a motor signal (I, U) of a DC motor (), in particular of an adjustment drive of a motor vehicle, the armature current (I) and the motor voltage (U) of the DC motor () are detected and used for determining the back-emf (E) of the DC motor (), wherein the determined back-emf (E) is used to generate a useful signal (S, S), which is in particular speed-proportional, from the armature current signal (I) for position sensing or for evaluating an excess force limitation.

Method and apparatus for processing a motor signal, having current ripple, of a DC motor

A method processes a motor variable of a DC motor of an actuating device for a motor vehicle. The DC motor is supplied by an on-board system DC voltage, in which the armature current and the motor voltage of the DC motor are detected and the actuating position of an actuating element is determined from a time profile of the armature current by counting the current ripple contained therein. During an initial phase, the armature current which rises over time is replicated by a function which is determined from pairs of values for the motor voltage and the armature current which are detected in a time interval. A current value of the armature current expected at a later point in time is extrapolated. In the event of a discrepancy between the armature current detected at this later point in time and the extrapolated armature current, a ripple count is started.

Processing a motor variable of a DC motor and actuating device for a motor vehicle

In order to automatically detect a mechanically commutated DC motor, it is provided to acquire an electrical engine size, to determine current ripples in the engine size, to evaluate the amplitude, the duration and/or time position of the detected current ripples and to compare to known ripple patterns, and to choose from a known key data table a number of key data assigned to a certain engine type, when the amplitude, during and/or time position of the detected current ripples correspond to a ripple pattern, which is assigned to the engine type.

Automatic detection of a mechanically commutated DC motor

A method for detecting a regulating variable of a mechanically commutated DC motor in a positioning device for a motor vehicle is provided. The DC motor has a standard ripple pattern, which contains per engine cycle or semi-cycle at least one index ripple, which is classified with regard to amplitude, duration and/or time position. The counter-electromotoric power is calculated from a measured motor current and the measured motor voltage by a motor model. An alternating element corresponding to the current ripples is extracted from the counter-electromotoric power, which in turn is used to determine the current ripples. Further, in at least one engine cycle or engine semi-cycle the index ripple is identified and the total identified current ripples are counted. The result of the count is hereby corrected when the index ripple is not counted at the expected position.
