According to an aspect, there is provided an elevator signalization apparatus. The elevator signalization apparatus comprises first receiving means for receiving floor information representing floor occupancy information associated with a building; output means for indicating floor occupancy to a user; second receiving means for receiving user associated information; and transmitting means for transmitting a control signal to an elevator controller based on the received user associated information.

Elevator signalization apparatus

An elevator includes at least one elevator shaft and at least one elevator car traveling in the elevator shaft. The elevator has at least one elevator motor including at least one linear stator located vertically along the elevator shaft and at least one mover located in connection with the elevator car and co-acting with the stator. The elevator includes a vertical stator beam supporting at least one stator, which stator beam has at least one side face carrying ferromagnetic poles of said stator spaced apart by a pitch. The mover includes at least one counter-face facing the side face(s) of the stator beam, in which electro-magnetic components of the mover are located.

An elevator car arrangement includes an elevator car body and an elevator car sling. The object of the invention is a method for installing an elevator in the construction phase of a building. The elevator comprises an elevator car adapted to move reciprocally in an elevator hoistway in the construction phase and a compensating weight, which is connected via a suspension beam to support the elevator car by means of at least one suspension member and also by means of diverting pulleys. The elevator has a temporary hoisting machine provided with a traction sheave, the hoisting machine being kept in its position for the whole duration of the construction phase of the building, and a traction member, such as a belt, rope or chain, which is adapted to transmit the rotational movement of the traction sheave into movement of the elevator car and of the compensating weight. During the construction time, the supporting and the moving of the elevator car are separated from each other. When taking the elevator into normal operation when the building is at its final height, the construction-time hoisting machine with its traction sheave and traction member is removed, and the new hoisting machine plus traction sheave and hoisting roping is installed into position.

Method for installing an elevator in the construction phase of a building

The invention relates to an elevator arrangement, which comprises one or more elevator units to be moved in an elevator hoistway, said unit(s) including at least an elevator car, and possibly also a counterweight, roping connected to an elevator unit, which roping comprises a plurality of ropes, and a moveable supporting structure in the elevator hoistway for supporting the aforementioned one or more elevator units below it via the aforementioned roping, and a rope pulley or rope pulley stack of the supporting structure in connection with the supporting structure, around which rope pulley or rope pulley stack the aforementioned roping travels, and from which the roping travels down to an elevator unit. The roping travels from the aforementioned rope pulley or rope pulley stack down to an elevator unit, in connection with which is a first rope pulley or rope pulley stack and a second rope pulley or rope pulley stack, which are disposed non-coaxially in relation to each other, their rotation axes being separate from each other in the lateral direction, and in that the first part of the ropes of the roping traveling from the rope pulley or rope pulley stack down to the elevator unit travels to the elevator unit, to the first rope pulley or rope pulley stack that is in connection with the elevator unit, under the pulley or stack, and onwards back up to a rope anchorage arrangement, and the second part to the second rope pulley or rope pulley stack in that is connection with the elevator unit in question, under the pulley or stack, and onwards back up to a rope anchorage arrangement. The invention also relates to corresponding guidance of compensating roping, as well as to a method wherein the service range of the elevator car is increased.

Elevator arrangement and method

Method for moving a heavy load, in which method the heavy load is lifted or lowered with an elevator including an elevator car and a hoisting machine, which hoisting machine is arranged to move the elevator car from one level to another in the normal operation of the elevator, in which method the heavy load is moved to be supported by the elevator car and the elevator car is moved until the load is at the desired height, and the load is removed from the support of the elevator car. In the method a hoist that does not belong to the hoisting machine is temporarily connected to the elevator car for the purpose of moving the load, and the elevator car, which supports the load, is moved by the hoist until the load is at the desired height, and the load is removed from the support of the elevator car.
