Method for preparing a membrane from fibril cellulose includes supplying fibril cellulose dispersion on a filter layer, draining liquid from a fibril cellulose dispersion by the effect of reduced pressure through the filter layer that is impermeable to fibrils of the fibril cellulose but permeable to the liquid to form a membrane sheet on the filter fabric, applying heat on the opposite side of the membrane sheet to the membrane sheet while continuing draining of the liquid through the filter layer by pressure difference over the filter layer, and removing the membrane sheet from the filter layer as a freestanding membrane.

The invention relates to an acoustic product composed of composite material, such as a musical musical instrument, a part thereof, an acoustic equipment or like, which is manufactured from raw material comprising at least cellulose based substance and plastic based substance by means of a thermoplastic process, such as by pressing, compression molding, injection molding, extrusion, blow molding by heat, rotational molding and/or the like. The acoustic product has a material composition consisting of fiber substance () based on surface modified cellulose and plastic based substance (), wherein the product has an essentially wood-like, but isotropic sound.

The present invention provides a method for producing modified nanofibrillated cellulose characterized by bringing cellulosic material into a fiber suspension, adsorbing a cellulose derivative or polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative onto fibers in said fiber suspension under special conditions and subjecting the obtained fiber suspension derivative to mechanical disintegration. A modified nanofibrillated cellulose obtainable by a method of the present invention is provided. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of said modified nanofibrillated cellulose.
