A method and apparatus for producing special effects with a video camera with a process including: receiving successive video image frames from an image sensor; storing motion effect data defining a special effect; and producing instructions to an image stabilizer such that the following one or more video image frames will be moved in at least one of X- and Y-directions.

A time adjustment method, a time stamping method and a telecommunication system are provided. The invention is based on performing a power measurement in the base station on a signal generated in the base station, and providing the signal with time characteristics proportional to a time reference received in the base station. Embodiments of the invention enable accurate synchronization of a base station and precise positioning of mobile stations.

A base station in a mobile communication network, includes at least one transmission line for transmitting a radio frequency signal. Each transmission line includes a coupling hole. A two-port coupled line includes one or more coupling holes. Each transmission line and the coupled line are couplable to form a coupling by setting the coupling hole of the transmission line against the coupling hole of the two-port coupled line. The coupling enables a signal sample of the radio frequency signal to propagate from the transmission line to the two-port coupled line.

Signal extracting arrangement

The invention relates to a base station of a communication network which comprises a casing, a transmitting and receiving device housed in the casing, and an antenna connected to the transmitting and receiving device. The antenna is formed as a patch antenna which comprises at least one receiving antenna patch and at least one transmitting antenna patch spatially separated from the receiving antenna patch. The receiving and transmitting antenna patches are preferably attached to the outside of the casing of the base station. Two or more separate receiving antenna patches may be connected to a common receiving feed line for connection to a receiving circuit of the base station. Likewise, two or more separate transmitting antenna patches may be connected to a common transmitting feed line for connection to a transmission circuit of the base station.

The invention relates to a method and arrangement for synchronizing a base station in a radio system. In the solution, a synchronization signal is transmitted in a cable for transferring electric power, from which cable the base station filters the synchronization signal and synchronizes its operation according to the synchronization signal.

The invention relates to an arrangement and method for combining electric signals. The arrangement comprises: an antenna element () for receiving first electric signals from the environment; a receiver cable () in connection with the antenna element () for carrying the first electric signals; at least one antenna feeder cable () for carrying second electric signals; a transmitting antenna () in connection with said at least one antenna feeder cable () for transmitting the second electric signals, and at least one cable coupler () in said receiver cable (), in which the polarity of said at least one cable coupler () is reversed in order to induce a local leakage current.
