A rubber composition which comprises a reinforcing filler, a crosslinking system and more than 50 to 100 phr of an elastomer which is a copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene CH═CR—CH═CH, the symbol R representing a hydrocarbon chain having from 3 to 20 carbon atoms. The rubber composition has a good compromise between the stiffness and hysteresis properties.

Rubber composition

A rubber composition having an adhesion to a composition based on natural rubber, the composition being at least based on 5 to 95 phr of polyisoprene comprising a content by weight of 1,4-cis bonds of at least 90% of the weight of the polyisoprene; 5 to 95 phr of copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene of formula CH═CR—CH═CH, the ethylene units in the copolymer representing more than 50 mol % of the monomer units of the copolymer, the symbol R representing a hydrocarbon chain having 3 to 20 carbon atoms; and a crosslinking system. Also disclosed is a tire, in particular a tire provided with a sidewall, comprising this composition.

A tire having improved mechanical properties, comprises a rubber composition based on at least one epoxidized polyisoprene having a molar degree of epoxidation ranging from 5% to 85%, at least one thermoplastic polyurethane, and a crosslinking system.

A copolymer of ethylene and of isoprene, which comprises from 10 to 35 mol % of isoprene units, at least 70% of which are in the 3,4 configuration and a portion of which is in the 1,2 configuration is provided. A copolymer of this type with a reduced crystallinity is synthesized with a much higher productivity than its homologues of ethylene and of butadiene, and also confers improved curing properties on rubber compositions.

An elastomeric laminate comprises at least two adjacent cohesive layers, the first layer consisting of a composition based on 10 to 100 phr of a copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene of formula CH&#x2550;CR&#x2014;CH&#x2550;CH, the ethylene units in the copolymer representing more than 50 mol % of the monomer units of the copolymer, the symbol R representing a hydrocarbon chain having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, from 0 to 90 phr of a diene elastomer having a content by weight of diene unit of greater than 50%, and a crosslinking system; the second layer consisting of a composition based on a diene elastomer having a content by weight of diene unit of greater than 50% and a crosslinking system. Also disclosed is a tire, in particular a tire provided with a sidewall, comprising this composition.

The middle rubber composition comprises at least 50 phr of a first diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler and a crosslinking system, which first diene elastomer is a terpolymer of ethylene, of an &#x3b1;-olefin and of a non-conjugated diene.

Airplane tire tread (), having an axial width L, comprises a middle part () having an axial width Lbetween 50% and 80% of L and composed of a middle rubber composition, and two lateral parts (), positioned axially on either side of middle part (), each having an axial width (L, L) between 10% and 25% of L and each composed of a lateral rubber composition. The middle rubber composition comprises at least 50 phr of a first middle part diene elastomer ('FMPDE'), at most 70 phr of a middle part reinforcing filler ('MPRF') and a crosslinking system. FMPDE is a terpolymer of ethylene, of an &#x3b1;-olefin and of a non-conjugated diene. The FLPDE lateral rubber composition of each lateral part comprises at least 50 phr of a first lateral part diene elastomer, a lateral part reinforcing filler content at least equal to the MPRF and a crosslinking system. The FLPDE is a terpolymer of ethylene, of an &#x3b1;-olefin and of a non-conjugated diene.
