A down light fixture that is suitable for installation on building structures and around lawns and gardens of residential and commercial properties for providing aesthetically pleasing illumination and security illumination. The down light fixture includes a body having a hollow interior and a circuit board mounted in the hollow interior. A transparent cover extends across a lower end of the body. A wire extends through a pivotable mounting device secured to an upper end of the body and through a potting cup to the circuit board for carrying electrical power to a source of illumination. The body is formed with a drain port located so that any water that accumulates in the interior of the body when the body is in a downwardly directed orientation will drain from the body before it can reach an upper end of the potting cup.

A light fixture for use in low voltage outdoor lighting systems includes a lens assembly with a cylindrical diffuser lens disposed on top of a lens support, and a reflector hood with a crown portion and a flared portion. The lens and reflector hood are attached by means of a resilient ring with an annular channel that fits over the upper edge of the lens. When the lens and ring are pushed into crown portion of the hood, the ring is compressed to create an interference fit that holds the lens within the crown portion. A second resilient ring may be placed over the lower edge of the lens to produce a similar interference fit with the upper portion of the lens support. In one embodiment, a molded plastic hood liner is attached to the inner surface of the hood to provide a reflective surface.

A light module for use in a lighting fixture includes a printed circuit board with one or more LED elements and one or more LED drivers. An electrical connector extends from the lower surface of the printed circuit board for attachment to an electrical socket within the fixture. A thermal conductor is attached on the lower surface of the printed circuit board. A reflector array comprises one or more individual parabolic reflectors, where each individual reflector is disposed at a position corresponding to a position of an LED element. Fastening means releasably attach each of the printed circuit board, the thermal conductor and the reflector array to a support surface within the interior cavity of the base. At least one optical element is releasably mounted on top of the reflector array.

A spike for outdoor lighting fixture includes a receptacle portion integrated into the body of the spike with an open section and a removable transparent window that is configured to enclose the receptacle portion. The transparent window is attached to the receptacle portion using one or more screws or other fasteners. The spike can include an internally threaded upper portion for receiving a post upon which a lighting fixture is mounted and/or a lamp socket can be attached to the top of the spike and a protective housing fitted around the outer edges of the top of the spike. In a preferred embodiment, the receptacle portion is divided into multiple compartments, e.g., for storing excess cable or spare parts, or for securing connection points of a wiring installation. The transparent window permits visual examination of the connection within the receptacle without removing the transparent window.

The recessed fixture includes a cylindrical housing assembly that encloses a lamp assembly in a watertight enclosure. The lamp assembly includes an attachment base bracket attached to the interior of the housing, and a U-shaped bracket that is rotatably attached to the base bracket. The U-shaped bracket includes attachment means that permit vertical and angular adjustment of the lamp assembly relative to the axial center of the housing. The combination of the pivot points and the ability to rotate the lamp housing about the base bracket provides at least three axes of adjustability to permit variation of the character of light emitted from the fixture. A cover placed over the end of the housing seals a lens to the housing to produce a watertight seal. The cover may include a pattern of ridges and openings to form a baffle to further protect the lens, reduce glare and provide additional directional control of the emitted light. The cylindrical housing fits within a sleeve that is positioned generally flush with the surface in which the fixture is being recessed, allowing the fixture to be accessed for installation and maintenance.

A light fixture for use in low voltage outdoor lighting systems includes a lens assembly with a diffuser lens disposed on top of a lens support, a reflector hood and a mushroom-shaped reflector retaining cap removably mounted on top of the lens assembly. A socket and lamp extend through an opening in the lens support. The radial center of the hood has a flattened area that sits level on top of the cylindrical lens and has an opening through which a base portion of the retaining cap is inserted. A recess in the top of the lens has an opening at its bottom for receiving the base of the retainer cap which is attached with a fastener inserted through the top of the lens. An O-ring seals the lens to the lower surface of the hood and the lens and lens support are sealed to provide a water-resistant seal around the lamp. The lens support is attached to the top of a mounting post.

The in-ground, or 'well light', fixture comprises a hollow cylindrical housing with an angled end and an flat end, a lamp assembly easily mounted at either end, and a baffle. The lamp assembly is rotatably and vertically adjustable within the housing and either the angled end or the flat end may be placed upward by virtue of a pair of channels extending down the length of the housing. Fasteners are provided on the lamp assembly for attaching one or more filters above the lamp face and to create a protective air gap that prevents debris from accumulating on the lamp.

The pivoting knuckle joint for an outdoor lighting fixture comprises a base knuckle, a top knuckle and a fastener for locking the base and top knuckles in position. Each of the base knuckle and top knuckle has a generally cylindrical body with a domed top, a portion of which is cut-away to form a flattened face, and circular cavity formed in the flattened face with a tapered ferrule formed in and extending from the cavity. The ferrule of one of the knuckles has a smaller diameter than the other, so that the smaller ferrule fits within the larger ferrule, forming a pivot point. The relative diameters are adapted to closely fit such that friction is generated between the interfitting ferrules to form a taper lock, resisting rotation of one knuckle relative to the other. In the preferred embodiment, the smaller ferrule has an internal thread formed therein for receiving a locking screw inserted through the body of the knuckle with the larger ferrule, permitting the position of the joint to be locked in place after adjustment. Bores are formed through the base and top knuckles to provide a conduit for an electrical wire to pass through the assembly.

A light fixture for use in low voltage outdoor lighting systems that comprises a lens assembly with a reflector, lens and lens support and a socket assembly with a lamp, socket and socket housing, which are mounted on a post. Connection of the lens assembly and socket assembly is provided by the combination of a taper fit and multiple O-rings which provide a frictional fit that is sealed against dirt and moisture intrusion, avoiding metal-to-metal contact. Attachment of the lens assembly to the socket assembly is achieved by pressing the two parts together in an axial direction. Disassembly is achieved by twisting to overcome the friction generated by the O-rings and pulling the two assemblies apart. A locking screw may be used to prevent accidental separation of the lens assembly and socket assembly. The post can be attached to a ground spike for installation.

A light fixture for use in low voltage outdoor lighting systems that comprises a cowl, a lamp, a socket positioned within the cowl for holding the lamp and a collar positioned within the cowl. The collar comprises an inner aperture having a diameter large enough to receive a base of the lamp and a perimeter that the follows the contours of the inner surface of the cowl. The collar seals the socket and the inner portions of the cowl from the elements. Further, the collar is coated for protection from the elements. The light fixture can be attached to a standard sized pipe thread.

The recessed light fixture has an adjustable structure enabling it to be rotated in relation to the ground located beneath it or other reference level so that it is level, while it remains attached to a support structure. The recessed light fixture includes a cover and a light assembly contained within a housing. The light assembly is attached to the housing using retention members that are positioned within elongated receiving slots located on the light assembly. The receiving slots allow the light assembly to be rotated within the housing. Further, the receiving slots enable the light assembly and cover attached to the light assembly to be repositioned without having to reinstall the housing.

The recessed wall-mounted light fixture assembly has a hollow mounting sleeve which is inserted horizontally in the wall, a lamp housing for enclosing and retaining a lamp, where the lamp housing is adapted to slide and rotate within the mounting sleeve, a face plate with a hood attached to the housing for directing light downward and preventing direct view of the lamp and a lens disposed within the face plate. The lamp is plugged into a socket mounted on a bracket that provides upward and downward adjustability. The lens has two different sections: an upper section which is frosted to diffuse light and a lower section that is clear for maximum transmission of light.
