A method for treating a spinal disorder includes the steps of: disposing an expandable spinal construct in a selected configuration; fixing the spinal construct in the selected configuration with a member; attaching a first end of the spinal construct with tissue; attaching a second end of the spinal construct with tissue; and disengaging the member from the spinal construct to release the spinal construct from the selected configuration. Implants, surgical instruments, systems and methods are disclosed.

Spinal correction construct and method

In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a monolithic percutaneous-screw system for use in spinal surgery. The system includes (i) a receiver having a distal base and a pair of opposing arms extending proximally from the base, a pair of opposing distal breakoff sections, each connected monolithically to a proximal end of a corresponding one of the arms, (ii) a pair of opposing proximal breakoff sections, (iii) a pair of opposing intermediate extenders, each extending from a distal end, connected monolithically to a corresponding one of the distal breakoff sections, to a proximal end connected monolithically to a corresponding one of the proximal breakoff section, and (iv) a guide cap connected monolithically to both of the proximal breakoff sections.

Monolithic percutaneous-screw system for spinal surgeries

A surgical instrument comprises a first member including a lateral projection having a locking surface that defines an elongated cavity. The locking surface is engageable with a longitudinal member to fix the longitudinal member with the first member. A second member includes at least one mating element being engageable with a spinal construct. The first member is axially translatable relative to the second member in a first direction to tension the longitudinal member and in a second direction to release tension from the longitudinal member. Systems and methods are disclosed.

Surgical instrument and method

One or more tethers for use with fastener assemblies and a method for use of the one or more tethers with the fastener assemblies is provided. The one or more tethers can be attached between a first fastener assembly positioned with respect to a first vertebrae adjacent a first side of a spinous process of a second vertebrae and a second fastener assembly positioned with respect to the vertebrae adjacent a second side of the spinous process of the second vertebrae. The one or more tethers can be tensioned against the spinous process of the second vertebrae to mitigate stresses on an uninstrumented level of the spine.

A spinal implant comprises a body including an inner surface that defines a cavity configured for disposal of a member. A locking element is engageable with the member within the cavity to fix the member with the body. The body further includes a wall that defines a bay configured for disposal of a longitudinal element being engageable with the wall to fix the longitudinal element with the body independent of the member, Systems and methods are disclosed.

Spinal implant system and method

An implant receiver includes a member having an inner surface defining an implant cavity configured for disposal of a spinal implant and an outer surface. A cap includes a mating surface connectable with the outer surface such that the cap is fixed with the member and the implant is movable relative to the inner surface. Spinal implant system and methods of use

An adjustable-height bone plate system that can be attached to a bony structure (e.g., the sacrum) is provided. The adjustable-height bone plate system affords height adjustment of a screw head portion to facilitate attachment of a receiver portion and a spinal rod at a proper, recommended, or desired height for secure interconnection of the spinal rod with a receiver of a pedicle screw assembly attached to an adjacent bony structure (e.g., L5 of the lumbar spine).

A second biasing member is engageable with a lock. The lock is connected with the longitudinal element to resist and/or prevent translation of the longitudinal element relative to the body in a second direction. A surgical instrument includes a member defining a longitudinal axis and including an engagement portion. The engagement portion includes at least one element engageable with an implant fastener. The at least one element includes a drive interface and an arcuate surface spaced from the drive interface. The arcuate surface includes at least one interference point engageable with the implant fastener. Implants, systems, constructs and methods are disclosed.

Surgical instrument and methods of use

A spinal construct comprises a pliable lead. A longitudinal member is flexible relative to the lead. The longitudinal member extends between a first end connected to the lead and a second end defining an opening configured for movement of the lead therethrough and disposal of the longitudinal member such that the longitudinal member is disposed about spinal tissue.
