A tube coupling having a coupling body with an opened ended throughway to receive a tube. A collet located in the open end of the through way has a ring and flexible arms extending generally axially of the ring into the throughway. The throughway has a tapered surface convergent towards the open end and the collet arms have heads at their distal ends for engaging both of the tapered surface and a tube extending through the collet. A collet lock is formed on the collet, the collet having a locked rotary position and an unlocked rotary position. One of the body and the collet is provided with a cam surface and the other is provided with a cam follower, the cam surface being provided to provide the locked and unlocked positions. The disclosure also extends to the collet.

Tube coupling

A reducing fibre optic cable tube connector with a plastic body having a connector at either end for connection to a respective tube. The body has a wide portion terminating at a wide end and a narrow portion terminating at a narrow end to receive tubes of a different diameters. The two portions meet at a central region of the body. Each portion includes an annular inner sleeve extending from the central region and spaced from an inner wall of the outer body to define an air gap. At the central region the annular sleeves extend toward one another so the first and second air gaps are axially spaced by less than 1 mm.

Reducing fibre optic cable tube connector

A tube coupling comprising having a coupling body with an opened ended throughway to receive a tube. The throughway has a tapered surface convergent towards the open end and the collet arms have heads at their distal ends for engaging the tapered surface and a tube extending through the collet into the throughway to be compressed against the tube by the tapered surface with outward movement of the collet with respect of the throughway to secure the tube in the throughway. A collet lock is formed on the collet, and the collet has a locked rotary position Either the body or the collet has a cam surface and the other has a cam follower.

A connector for a fluid line includes a sleeve having a hollow portion at least partway therethrough. The sleeve includes an engaging portion. A collet having an engaging part is secured to the engaging portion. A grab part has one or more teeth configured to retain the fluid line, and the teeth are located in the hollow portion. A locking part is provided having a locking portion, and the locking part is configured to move from a first position to a second position where the locking portion locks with a locking piece to assist with forming a fluid seal with the fluid line.

Fluid connector

A connector having a body with a through-way open at one end. A shoulder in the through-way faces the open end and supports an O-ring. A cap is fitted to an open end of the body and extends from the open end toward the opposite end. The cap is a different color than the body. A gripping ring in the cap has inwardly facing teeth to grip a tube in the through-way to prevent the tube from being pulled out of the open end of the connection during use. A locking ring is fitted over the open end of the body and cap. The locking ring is rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking ring has a window that lines up with the body in one of the locked and unlock positions and the cap in the other of the locked and unlocked positions.
