Providing a visual treatment based on proximity to an obstruction includes collecting, by a device, a sensor data for an environment, and determining a velocity of the device. A boundary of a volume around the device is determined based on the velocity. If a physical object is detected within the boundary based on the sensor data, then a notification procedure is initiated. The boundary of the volume dynamically changes as the velocity of the device or user changes.

A system for determining relevant information based on user interactions may include a processor configured to receive data and associated relevance information from a data source and a set of signals describing a current environment of a user or historical user behavior information in which the data source being local to a computing device. The processor may be further configured to sort the data items based on a ranking of each relevance score for each data item. One embodiment provides for an electronic device, comprising a non-transitory machine-readable medium to store instructions, one or more processors to execute the instructions, and a memory coupled to the one or more processors. The memory can be configured to store a set of synchronization data associated with interaction between the electronic device and one or more applications and instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the one or more processors to retrieve a set of synchronization data to be transmitted from the electronic device to select a transport channel from one of a peer-to-peer channel or a network-based channel and transmit the set of synchronization data from the electronic device to one or more remote devices via the selected transport channel.

Context-specific user interfaces, e.g., for use with a portable multifunction device, provide, inter alia, indications of time and, optionally, a variety of additional information. A user interface screen including a current time indicator and a first platter is displayed. The first platter is at a first position, is associated with a first application, and displays a first set of information obtained from the first application. A system for determining relevant information based on user interactions may include a processor configured to receive application data from one or more applications, the application data including features related to user activity from the one or more applications, the one or more application including applications local to the device that are stored in the memory and applications external to the device. The processor may be further configured to provide, using a machine learning (ML) model, a relevance score for each of one or more user interface (UI) elements based on each of the features. The processor may be further configured to sort one or more UI elements based on a ranking of the relevance scores. The processor may be further configured to provide, as output, the one or more UI elements based at least in part on the ranking.

An example method includes, at an electronic device with one or more processors and memory: detecting a new type of available information, the new type of available information being associated with a card for display in a content feed; in accordance with detecting the new type of available information, increasing a relevance score of the card above a display threshold; in accordance with increasing the relevance score above the display threshold: causing the card to be displayed in the content feed; and obtaining data representing user interaction with the displayed card; adjusting, based on the data representing user interaction with the displayed card, the relevance score; and modifying a display of the card in the content feed based on the adjusted relevance score.

Increasing the relevance of new available information

The subject technology provides generating configuration files that represent user interaction scenarios on a device, the configuration files including a set of user interface (UI) elements to display and a set of interactions corresponding to user activity to perform on at least one UI element of the set of UI elements. The subject technology processes the configuration files using a relevance engine to determine a relevance score of each UI element of the set of UI elements, wherein the relevance score is based at least in part on weights assigned to features based on the user activity and respective variance values of the features, and the features include information related to a location or time. The subject technology generates a user simulation based machine learning model based at least on each relevance score of each UI element. The subject technology stores the user simulation based machine learning model on the device.
