Computer-implemented systems, methods and apparatus are provided for rendering different scenes of an application. An application framework is provided that includes a scene controller and a scene cache pre-fetch module that stores at least some of the different scenes as cached scenes. When the scene controller receives a request for a new scene (e.g., to change the current active scene) it can determine whether that new scene is stored at the scene cache pre-fetch module. If so, the scene controller can load the cached scene directly from the scene cache pre-fetch module as a new active scene.

The insertion of content into media streams is provided. A media stream is monitored by a media server computer, the monitored media stream having at least one marker designating an associated insertion position within the media stream. A marker is selected to insert personalized social-awareness based content into the media stream. Social awareness information associated with a target of the monitored media stream is identified. The social awareness information is utilized to select personalized social-awareness based content. The personalized social-awareness based content is inserted into the monitored media stream at the corresponding insertion position associated with the selected marker to transform the media stream.

A method and system for remote binding of meta-content to a uniform resource indicator are provided. The method includes providing a script to a web browser application in response to the web browser, application accessing the uniform resource identifier of a content provider system and requesting an asset therefrom. The script is generated by a remote server system and is provided to the web browser application by routing the web browser application from the content provider system to the remote server system. The method also includes receiving a call from the web browser application at the remote server system via the script. The call includes the uniform resource identifier of the content provider system. Using the uniform resource identifier, the remote server system queries a data source to determine whether meta-content for the asset is available. Upon determining the meta-content is available for the asset, the method includes returning the meta-content to the web browser application for interpretation.

An improved solution for Web services is provided. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for providing a virtual Web service includes: providing a Web service gatekeeper, where the gatekeeper acts as an access point to multiple private internal enterprise environments; and then the gatekeeper receives a request for access to one, or more, of these private internal enterprise environments.

Methods, systems, and computer program products for managing a resource include using a first object to obtain data associated with the resource that is being managed. The first object may be embedded in a cell of a spreadsheet running on a spreadsheet application. Formula in the spreadsheet are executed, where at least some of the formulas reference at least some of the data obtained by the first object. The operation of the resource may then be altered based on the results of the executed formula.
