Hybrid enclosures for power and optical fiber are provided herein. A hybrid enclosure includes a power conductor terminal and an optical fiber splice area that are in separate first and second trays, respectively. In some embodiments, the power conductor terminal is a terminal of a circuit that is configured to supply power exceeding 150 Watts. Enclosures including multiple protective lids over power conductor terminal blocks are also provided.

A power and data connectivity micro grid includes a first power sourcing equipment device having first and second power ports and first and second data ports, and configured to deliver DC power signals to the first and second power ports. The micro grid further includes first and second remote distribution nodes, and first and second splice enclosures, each splice enclosure having a power input port, a data input port, a power tap port, a data tap port, a power output port and a data output port. A first composite power-data cable is coupled between the first power port and the first data port of the first power sourcing equipment device and the power input port and the data input port of the first splice enclosure. A second composite power-data cable is coupled between the second power port and the second data port of the first power sourcing equipment device and the power input port and the data input port of the second splice enclosure. The power tap port and the data tap port of the first splice enclosure are coupled to a power input port and a data input port of the first remote distribution node, respectively.

A wireless network includes connections stations () disposed along a distribution cable () that carries optical signals and power. Each connection station () has a port () at which the optical signals and power of the cable () are provided. A wireless module () can be mounted at a connection station () so that a connection arrangement of the wireless module () plugs into the port. The wireless module () can obtain power from the distribution cable () via the connection station (). The wireless module () can broadcast the signals carried by the distribution cable () to the surrounding area.

The present disclosure relates to a telecommunications apparatus that includes a fan-out module main body adapted for connection to a rack. The telecommunications apparatus also includes a fan-out block attached to the fan-out module main body. The telecommunications apparatus also includes a multi-fiber cable segment. The multi-fiber cable segment includes first and second strength members. The first and second strength members are anchored to the fan-out block. The telecommunications apparatus further includes a plurality of pigtail cable segments each including a jacket containing one of the optical fibers and a plurality of flexible strength members positioned inside the jacket. The flexible strength members of the pigtail cable segments are anchored to the fan-out block, the optical fibers being fanned out from the multi-fiber cable segment to the pigtail cable segments within the fan-out block. The telecommunications apparatus also includes a plurality of single fiber connectors mounted to free ends of the pigtail cable segments.
