In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a system includes a liquid-gas separator. The liquid-gas separator includes: a substantially planar body configured to be seated in a fluid flow to separate a flow of liquid from the fluid flow, one or more apertures disposed in the body configured collect the flow of liquid, and one or more diverters integrally formed on or in the body configured divert the flow of liquid towards the one or more apertures. In certain embodiments, the planar body can be additively manufactured.

A vessel includes first and second portions that are non-permeable to a fluid and a third portion that is permeable to fluid. The first potion defines at least one exterior wall defining an exterior container. The second portion defines at least one interior wall defining an interior container encapsulated by the exterior container. An additive manufacturing machine includes a laser light source, a beam entry window, a recoater, a plurality of light sources attached to the recoater, a photosensor, and a controller. The laser light source emits laser light to selectively melt one or more portions of a working layer of a powder bed during additive manufacturing of a part. The beam entry window is positioned between the powder bed and the laser light source. The recoater moves across the powder bed to spread the working layer. The photo sensor senses intensity of light emitted by each of the plurality of light sources through the beam entry window. The controller correlates sensed intensity of the light emitted by each of the plurality of light sources through the beam entry window to corresponding positions on the beam entry window based on locations of each of the plurality of light sources.

An additively-manufactured heat exchanger header defines a build plane and a vertical axis defining a build direction that is orthogonal to the build plane. The additively-manufactured heat exchanger header includes a header body that at least partially contains a working fluid, and an upper support structure on the header body. The upper support structure defines an interior edge and includes a branchwork of gussets rising upward and outward from a root point located in the middle region on the header body. The header body defines a middle region, an upper region, and a top extension. The branchwork of gussets forms a number of top vanes, each supporting the top extension. The upper region is oriented over the middle region relative to the vertical axis, and the top extension partially defines the fluid boundary and is oriented over the upper region.
