One or more pages are displayed on a display. A page-turning gesture is recognized. Responsive to such recognition, a virtual page turn that lifts a portion of the page is displayed on the display. One side of the lifted portion of the page is visible through the other side of the lifted portion of the page.

Virtual page turn

One or more pages are displayed on a touch display. A page-flipping gesture directed to a displayed page is recognized. Responsive to such recognition, a virtual page flip is displayed on the touch display. The virtual page flip turns successive pages to a landing page.

A user interface presents a plurality of items configured as a stack in a display of a device. The stack is scrollable in a direction oblique to a plane of the display for successively viewing the items in the stack. Some implementations provide for control of the user interface based on input from a finger position sensor or a slider.

User interface with z-axis interaction

A tool for managing a computer network includes a gateway service module that identifies a gateway for a network and a network information service module. The network information service module identifies devices in the network, determines at least one property for each of the identified devices, and creates a network information data structure for storing device properties. A communication agent service module transmits at least one determined device property to other agent service modules associated with the network, receives at least one device property from another agent service module associated with the network, and provides the received at least one property device to the network information service module. A method of monitoring a computer network is also provided. The method includes identifying devices in a network, determining at least one property for each of the identified devices, receiving at least one determined device property from another device the network, and creating a network information data structure for storing the determined device properties.

Network management

One or more pages are displayed on a touch display. A page-turning gesture directed to a displayed page is recognized. Responsive to such recognition, a virtual page turn is displayed on the touch display. The virtual page turn actively follows the page-turning gesture. The virtual page turn curls a lifted portion of the page to progressively reveal a back side of the page while progressively revealing a front side of a subsequent page. A lifted portion of the page is given an increased transparency that allows the back side of the page to be viewed through the front side of the page. A page-flipping gesture quickly flips two or more pages.

A touch-sensitive electronic display device including one or more touch-sensitive display screens and interface software. The touch-sensitive display screen(s) and interface software are configured to be responsive to touch inputs and, in the case of a multi-screen workspace, the interface software is operable to allow inputs made in connection with a first screen to generate an inertial movement of a displayed object which results in the object moving to and coming to rest on another of the screens. The touch-sensitive screen and interface software may also be configured to receive hand touch inputs and pen touch inputs, with the interface software being operable to dynamically mask regions of the touch-sensitive display to discriminate between or selectively permit/reject different types of inputs.

Bi-modal multiscreen interactivity

Touch sensitive computing systems and methods are provided. The touch sensitive computing device may include a touch sensitive display configured to receive a touch input. A gesture recognition module may be coupled with the touch sensitive display, and may be configured to receive the touch input. The gesture recognition module may also be configured to determine, based on the touch input, and by selecting from a plurality of different predefined gestures, a recognized gesture that corresponds to the touch input. The touch sensitive computing device may also include a personal information management (PIM) module including a PIM database. The PIM module may be configured to apply a selected item shown on the touch sensitive display to a selected one of a plurality of different PIM schemas of the PIM database. The selected one of the PIM schemas may be selected based on the recognized gesture.
