A fire-starting material is disclosed. The fire-starting material may include metal powder, fibers, oxidizers, other powdered fuels, and a binder. The binder may be a hydrocarbon or a combination of hydrocarbons made up of molecules with about 10 to about 80 carbon atoms. The binder may hold the metal powder and the fibers in suspension. Additionally, the binder (and hence the fire-starting material overall) may be manually pliable between about −5 and about 50 degrees Celsius. To use the fire-starting material, a user may manually deform the fire-starting material to tear off a piece thereof. The piece may be applied to a fuel source and lit on fire.

An example method for manufacturing an MRT composition may include collecting a stool sample, purifying the stool sample to form a purified sample, stabilizing the purified sample to form a stabilized sample, converting the stabilized sample to a solid, adding one or more additives and/or excipients to the solid to form a treatment composition, and encapsulating the treatment composition.

A method is provided. The method includes providing an article, the article including a nonwoven substrate having a copolymer grafted thereto, the copolymer including interpolymerized monomer units of a quaternary ammonium-containing ligand monomers; an amide monomer; an oxy monomer; and a coating on the nonwoven substrate, the coating including a plurality of test microorganisms, an enzyme or a second substrate; and contacting the article with a detection medium for a period of time.

Methods to detect microorganisms

Microbiota restoration therapy compositions and methods for manufacturing, processing, and/or delivering microbiota restoration therapy compositions are disclosed. An example method for manufacturing a microbiota restoration therapy composition may include collecting a human fecal sample and adding a diluent to the human fecal sample to form a diluted sample. The diluent may include a cryoprotectant. The method may also include mixing the diluted sample with a mixing apparatus and filtering the diluted sample. Filtering may form a filtrate. The method may also include transferring the filtrate to a sample bag and sealing the sample bag.

The present invention provides for antimicrobial compositions, methods of preparing the antimicrobial compositions, methods of using the antimicrobial compositions, and/or kits that include the antimicrobial compositions. The antimicrobial compositions can be in a dry, solid (e.g., powdered) form, or can be in a liquid (e.g., aqueous) form.
