An air conditioning system and method for operation at a recreation vehicle is provided. The air conditioning system includes an inverter operably coupled to a motor. The inverter is configured to provide power to the motor in a first operating mode or a second operating mode. The motor is operably coupled to a compressor. A controller is in operable communication with the air conditioning system. The controller is configured to obtain a power limit signal; receive a control command corresponding to providing power to the air conditioning device; and determine, based on a power limit, whether to receive power at the air conditioning device in the first operating mode or the second operating mode.

An air conditioner unit and a film heating assembly for use in the air conditioner unit, the air conditioner unit comprising a bulkhead defining an indoor portion and an outdoor portion and an indoor fan positioned within the indoor portion for selectively urging a flow of air through an indoor heat exchanger. The method includes transmitting, from the first sensor, a first temperature signal to the first controller; transmitting, via the first controller, a first control signal based on the first temperature signal to the second controller; operating the sealed system based on the first control signal; generating, via the second controller, a second control signal based on a second temperature signal received from the second sensor in response to a control command; and operating the sealed system based on the second control signal.

A method for operating an appliance is provided. The appliance includes a plurality of power actuatable devices and a controller in operable communication with the plurality of power actuatable devices. The controller is configured to receive a control command corresponding to providing power to a first power actuatable device and determine whether a second power actuatable device is in a power receiving state below a power threshold or above the power threshold. When the power receiving state of the second power actuatable device is above the power threshold, the controller is configured to monitor the power receiving state of the second power actuatable device until the power receiving state is below the power threshold. When the power receiving state of the second power actuatable device is below the power threshold, the controller is configured to provide power to the first power actuatable device based on the control command.

Air conditioner unit and method for operation

An air conditioner unit includes a refrigeration loop including an indoor heat exchanger and an outdoor heat exchanger, a compressor for circulating refrigerant, and an electronic expansion valve. A controller receives a command to perform an operating cycle at a target compressor speed, determines a starting position of the electronic expansion valve using a valve position equation that is a function of the target compressor speed, an indoor temperature, an outdoor temperature, and empirically determined constants, and initializes the operating cycle with the electronic expansion valve at the starting position.

Method of operating an electronic expansion valve in an air conditioner unit

An air conditioner unit and method of operating the same includes performing an operating cycle in a feedback control mode, including adjusting the an electronic expansion valve (EEV) to minimize an error between a measured superheat and a target superheat using a PI controller, determining that a target compressor speed has changed by greater than a predetermined speed threshold, and initiating a linear control mode of the operating cycle, including adjusting the EEV using a valve position equation that is a function of the target compressor speed, an indoor temperature, and an outdoor temperature. The controller may also start a transition timer upon initiation of the linear control mode, transition back into a feedback control mode upon expiration of the transition timer, and initialize the integral term of the PI controller based on the EEV position from the linear control mode.

Air conditioner units and methods of operating the same are provided. A method of operating an air conditioner unit includes activating a makeup air system of the air conditioner unit. The makeup air system directs a flow of outside air from the makeup air system to an indoor portion of a housing of the air conditioner unit. The method also includes activating an indoor fan disposed in the indoor portion of the air conditioner unit at a fan speed at least equal to a minimum circulation threshold speed in response to the makeup air system being activated. Activating the indoor fan causes the flow of outside air from the makeup air system to be urged through the indoor portion of the housing. An air conditioner unit may include a controller, and the controller may be configured for performing the method.

Air conditioner units and methods of operating the same are provided. A method of operating an air conditioner unit includes measuring an ambient temperature and estimating a setpoint temperature of the air conditioner unit. The method also includes inputting the measured ambient temperature and the estimated setpoint temperature into a closed-loop control algorithm. The method further includes setting a compressor speed of the variable speed compressor based on the output of the closed-loop control algorithm. An air conditioner unit may include a controller, and the controller may be configured for performing the method.

A controller performs a first operating cycle of the air conditioner unit with the compressor at a first compressor speed and the electronic expansion valve in a first valve position, receives a command to perform a second operating cycle at a target compressor speed, determines that the target compressor speed of the second operating cycle corresponds to the first compressor speed, and initiates the second operating cycle with the electronic expansion valve positioned at the first valve position. The controller is further configured to determine that the first valve position is below a predetermined position threshold at an end of the first operating cycle and open the electronic expansion valve to the predetermined position threshold after the first operating cycle.

Air conditioner units and methods of operating the same are provided. A method of operating an air conditioner unit includes determining a fan speed as a function of a compressor speed of a variable speed compressor of the air conditioner unit. The method also includes activating a variable speed fan of the air conditioner unit at the fan speed. An air conditioner unit may include a controller, and the controller may be configured for performing the method.

The intake conduit may be attachable to a housing of the air conditioning appliance. The intake conduit may define an intake passage upstream from the indoor inlet. The secondary air duct may extend from the intake conduit outside of the housing upstream from the secondary inlet to direct air thereto.

An air conditioner unit includes a refrigeration loop, a variable speed compressor coupled to the refrigeration loop, an indoor temperature sensor, an electric heater, and a controller operably coupled to the variable speed compressor, the indoor temperature sensor, and the electric heater. The controller is configured to operate the variable speed compressor at a target speed, identify an auxiliary heating trigger of the air conditioner unit, and operate the electric heater according to the auxiliary heating trigger.
