According to one aspect, an autonomous all-terrain vehicle (ATV) may include a controller receiving a command associated with autonomous driving and monitoring components of the autonomous ATV, a location unit determining a current location associated with the autonomous ATV and a destination location associated with the command, a navigation module determining one or more driving parameters based on map data associated with a path from the current location to the destination location, and a safety logic implementing an emergency stop based on an error determined by the controller. The controller may monitor the location unit and the navigation module for the error.

A method for using an autonomous vehicle as a caddie and cart. The method includes selecting caddie mode from a group including a caddie mode and a cart mode, selecting a mode in the caddie mode from a group including a caddie advice mode, a swing detection mode, and a golf ball detection mode. In another embodiment, the method includes selecting the cart mode and selecting a mode in the cart mode from a group including a follow golfer mode, a ride mode, and a golf ball mode. The autonomous vehicle includes a vehicle frame and a body, a vehicle propulsion unit, a plurality of wheels driven by the vehicle propulsion unit, a controller for selecting a mode of operation, a display for communicating data to the golfer, a camera for supplying data to the controller, and a GPS apparatus for determining a position of the autonomous vehicle.

Autonomous vehicle used as golf caddie and cart

A method is provided for operating a vehicular engine that comprises a plurality of pistons and a plurality of cylinders. The method comprises detecting an engine temperature and detecting an alcohol concentration of fuel. The method further comprises selecting an amount of fuel according to the engine temperature and the alcohol concentration and selectively dispensing the amount of fuel to the cylinders.
