The lens mechanism includes a second optic holder that includes a second optic configured for vision correction, wherein the second optic is interchangeable and located over the first optic. The second optic holder is configured to removably dispose the second optic to the head-worn display device.

Interpupillary calibration system and method for stereoscopic visualization. The system includes a first display, second display, and calibration processor. The first display is disposed in proximity to a left aperture of an eyeframe to present a first image area through the left aperture, the first image area associated with an image and having a first display axis. The second display is disposed in proximity to a right aperture of the eyeframe to present a second image area through the right aperture, the second image area associated with the image and having a second display axis. The calibration processor is configured to adjust a display distance between the first image area and second image area based on an interpupillary distance of a user, wherein the first image area and second image area are visible through the first aperture and second aperture enabling formation of a stereoscopic view of the image.

An adaptor associated with a stereoscopic field of view through a port. The adaptor includes a housing, frame, and cables. The housing includes circuits associated with imaging data. The frame is connected to the housing, and has a guide and aperture. The guide extends away from the frame and is configured to pass through an opening of the port. The guide includes a terminal end configured to extend into the port such that the aperture is in communication with the opening. The cables include sensors that receive the imaging data capable of producing the stereoscopic field of view. The sensors are disposed at a distance from one another at the terminal end of the guide, wherein the distance enables the sensors to receive the image data capable of producing the stereoscopic field of view. The cables extend from the sensors of the guide to respective integrated circuits in the housing.

A method of using a plurality of blades within a fixation device to attach to a vertebra is provided. Each blade includes a body having a central opening configured to rotate on a shaft within a housing of the fixation device, control openings on opposing sides of the central opening sized to engage prongs of a rotating tool, and at least one cutting extension with a sharp leading edge extending from the body in an orientation about an axis of the shaft, wherein upon rotation of the blade by the rotating tool about the shaft in a direction in which the at least one cutting extension is oriented, the at least one cutting extension will break an endplate of a vertebra and hook into the vertebra.

Apparatus and method for anterior intervertebral spinal fixation and fusion

A fixation device includes a housing, first and second shafts, first blade, and second blade. The housing includes a leading surface and trailing surface. The first and second shafts run from the leading surface to the trailing surface. The first blade has a first extension with a sharp edge extending from the first shaft in a first orientation about the first shaft. The second blade has a second extension with a sharp edge extending from the second shaft in a second orientation about the second shaft. The first blade is rotatable according to the first orientation and the second blade is rotatable according to the second orientation, such that the first extension and the second extension are enabled to break an endplate of a vertebra, hook into the vertebra, and rigidly secure the vertebra to the device to prevent separation of the vertebra from the device during spinal motion.

A rotational stabilizing locking apparatus for a surgical retractor is disclosed. The, rotational stabilizing locking apparatus may be a locking cap that includes a central body having a surgical aperture extending from a first side of the central body to a second opposed side of the central body. The central body may include an attachment arm extending away from the surgical aperture. Also, a first interfacing prong may extend from the first side of the central body. The first interfacing prong may include a first light source guide element along an extent of the first interfacing prong. Additionally, the locking cap may be applied to an inner arcuate blade nested inside an outer arcuate blade having a coupling aperture. The inner arcuate blade may include a prong slot for receiving the first interfacing prong. Also, a coupling tab of the inner arcuate blade may be disposed within the coupling aperture.

A system, device, and method are disclosed for anterior intervertebral fusion with fixation. An intervertebral fusion with fixation device includes a spacer configured to fit into a disc space between plural vertebrae, the spacer including through holes between and through plural sidewalls. A first fixating element is rigidly preloaded in a first portion of the spacer along a first linear trajectory. A second fixating element is rigidly preloaded in a second portion of the spacer along a second linear trajectory. An integrated drill and screwdriver instrument is adapted to extend through a cannula of the first fixating element and second fixating element and penetrate the vertebra. The instrument is further adapted to drive the head of the first fixating element and second fixating element into the vertebra and lock the first fixating element and second fixating element with respect to the spacer to prevent extrusion from the spacer.

Anterior intervertebral fusion with fixation system, device, and method

A spinal fixation device includes a housing and a plurality of blades. Each blade includes a body having a central opening configured to rotate on a shaft within the housing. Control openings on opposing sides of the central opening are sized to engage prongs of a rotating tool. At least one cutting extension with a sharp leading edge extends from the body in an orientation about an axis of the shaft. Upon rotation of the blade by the rotating tool about the shaft in a direction in which the at least one cutting extension is oriented, the at least one cutting extension will break an endplate of a vertebra and hook into the vertebra.

A fixation device including a housing, a shaft and a plurality of blades preloaded onto the shaft. The housing includes a leading deep surface, a trailing outer surface, weight bearing sides, and top and bottom surfaces. The shaft runs from the leading deep surface to the trailing outer surface of the housing. The plurality of blades includes at least one first blade having at least one cutting extension in a first orientation about the axis of the shaft and at least one second blade having at least one cutting extension in a second orientation about the axis of the shaft that is opposite to the first orientation. Each cutting extension of the blades has a sharp leading edge, wherein upon clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of each blade of the plurality of blades about the axis of the shaft in a direction in which the at least one cutting extension of each blade is oriented, the at least one cutting extension of each blade will break an endplate of a vertebra, hook into the vertebra and rigidly secure the vertebra to the device to prevent separation of the vertebra from the device during spinal motion.

A spinal fixation and fusion device that includes a housing with leading deep surface conforming to the posterior aspect of the intervertebral disk and trailing outer surface conforming to the anterior surface of the disk, weight bearing sides and the top and bottom surfaces with plurality of openings enabling ingrowths of bone. The device further includes a shaft running from the center of the deep surface and perpendicular to the deep surface of the housing to the center of the outer surface of the housing and affixed at least to the deep surface of the housing, and a flat metal member threaded onto the shaft with sharp leading edge which upon clockwise or counterclockwise rotation about the axis of the shaft will break the endplate, hook into the vertebra and rigidly secure the vertebra to the entire device preventing separation of the vertebra from the device during spinal motion.
